Bendix brakes began with a determined businessman, Vincent Bendix. In 1923, Mr. Bendix had only one goal in mind and two newly purchased patents in hand. Just over one year later, Vincent Bendix introduced the U.S. auto industry to the world’s first four-wheel brake system. It was the first invention for the Bendix Engineering Works company. Today, nearly a Century later, Bendix is an integral part of the Honeywell Friction Materials’ family of premium brands.
