Identifying Your Soft Top Hardware

It is important to identify what type of hardware a customer has. The type of soft top that should be purchased depends on whether a customer’s hardware is Factory Original or Aftermarket.

For older Jeep® models such as early TJ, YJ, CJ-7 or CJ-5, the original hardware is likely to be damaged or in poor operating condition. Make sure to carefully check its condition (i.e. rust, out of shape or altered) before ordering a Replace-a-top™.
