It features side plates that are cut and shaved from high-strength steel and heat treated for fatigue resistance, and rollers that are “cold rolled” and hardened to exacting standards, increasing load and RPM capabilities. All premium timing sets are hand-matched by trained technicians to ensure center distance and runout, and sets are available for applications where center distance has been reduced due to align honing or boring.

Being able to adjust valve timing gives you the ability to customize the torque and power curve to optimize your engine output according to need, with advanced timing delivering more torque at low RPM and retarded timing delivering more torque at high RPM. Cloyes has numerous solutions to enable valve timing adjustment including 3 or 9 keyway crank sprockets and Quick Adjust and Hex-a-Just cam sprockets. The Quick Button Two-Piece cast aluminum timing cover is the perfect accompaniment to the Hex-a-Just, with an easy to remove access plate that allows adjustment without the need to remove the entire cover.
