For years, Pro Comp has been at the forefront of product testing and development to keep pace with the latest technology featured on modern vehicles. In 2009, Pro Comp was the first manufacturer to test and successfully pass the FMVSS 126 electronic stability control test. Today, Pro Comp is proud to continue to lead the way with advanced product testing to ensure that every product will deliver superior performance and maintain 100% compatibility with the latest safety features.
Off-Road Shocks Information
At the heart of the shock is the gas-charged monotube design that delivers superior performance compared to traditional twin tube shocks. The brushed and zinc-plated, clear coated monotube body is nitrogen gas pressurized to eliminate performance-robbing cavitation during compression and rebound. This allows the shock to dissipate heat more efficiently. The Vehicle Specific Ride Tuning (VSRT™) in each shock was derived using extensive dyno and real world testing. The result is multi-stage valving to optimize the ride and handling characteristics for each application.
Based on the high performance Pro Runner™ Monotube Shocks, the Pro Runner SS ™ is engineered for late model trucks and SUVs with coilover strutstyle independent front suspensions.
What makes the Pro Runner SS™ unique from other spring seat shocks is Pro Comp’s patent pending 180oSS™ height adjustable collar. This Pro Comp exclusive feature gives owners the option of raising the front of their vehicle up to 2.75” (depending on application) to clear larger tires or keep the vehicle at stock height.
The CNC machined T6061 height adjustable collar is simply inverted during installation to switch from a lifted to stock height. Whether the truck is stock or lifted, the Pro Runner SSTM will deliver the perfect ride and unique style you’re looking for.
Each MX6 shock is precision engineered and custom valved for your vehicle. Further refinement is available via the six-way adjustable external knob to fine tune the damping for your specific needs. The MX6’s inverted mounting design reduces unsprung weight and protects the shock body from damage.
Pro Comp Pro Runner Black Series Coilovers use the best materials available to make no compromises in performance, regardless of the terrain. Huge 2.75-inch monotube shock bodies are fitted with billet aluminum end caps and spherical bearings. Inside, the custom valving and Viton seals are hand fitted on each nitro carb shock rod. Coil springs come pre-installed with spring rates specific to each vehicle. Applications include 07-13 GM half-ton pickup, 09+ Ford F-150, 07+ Toyota Tundra, and 05+ Toyota Tacoma.

Generally, the higher the number is, the brighter the light is. Brighter lights allow you to see more on the trails during the night, when you need it the most. The European IP (Ingress Protection) rating system is the accepted standard for measuring how well protected the product is from the elements. Pro Comp Explorer LED’s IP68 rating is the highest rating available for both dust and water. This certifies them as waterproof-submersible to an unprecedented depth of 5 meters for 60 minutes.
Pro Comp uses the highest quality LEDs available. Cree high output LEDs have a 50,000+ hour life span and produce an ultra bright light while drawing a fraction of the power required by a traditional halogen light. This puts less load on your electrical and charging system without sacrificing performance.
Lux is the measurement of light intensity (which can also be called “illuminance” or “illumination”). As an example for reference purposes - one lux is equal to the illumination of a surface one meter away from a single candle. This is also known as the “throw” of the light.

Pro Comp HID lights use a unique compound curve aluminum reflector that is tuned to project the maximum amount of light where you need it most. The HIDs feature an adjustable mounting system that utilizes interlocking splines for positive engagement that won’t come loose from vibration. This systems provides a range of over 90° of adjustment You can mount these lights on roofs, roof racks, bumpers, window mounts, and even sideways. When it comes to waterproof submersibility, the European IP rating system is the accepted standard for measuring how well protected the product is from moisture and dust. Color temperature is a description of the warmth or coolness of a light source. By convention, yellow-red color are considered warm, and blue-green cool is considered cool. Cool light is preferred for visual tasks because it produces higher contrast than warm light. The cooler the light, the better you can see while off-roading at night. Pro Comp’s Explorer HID lights have a color temperature of 6,000K giving them a cool white light for maximum visibility.
