Superior Metallurgy. Dedicated engineers have improved upon the "one metallurgy fits all" theory. QOA Technology rotors are cast from damped iron – an alloy that is metallurgically formulated to disrupt vibration and suppress noise ensuring consistent and quiet arrivals every time.
Enhanced Vane Configuration. Specifically designed for increased air flow throughout the rotor, the QOA rotor maintains lower temperatures with a vane configuration no other competitive rotor in the market can match.
Optimized Weight. When police vehicles make sudden high-speed stops, weight distribution and temperatures are inherently high on the front wheels. Recent fleet testing has reveled a replacement ratio of 3:1 between front and rear rotor. Wheel Bearing and Hub Assembly
The latest generation of hub units has a suspension mounting flange machined onto the outer shell with integral raceways, and a brake/wheel mounting flange with integral raceways machined onto the inner cone, making it even simpler to install and providing a degree of precision previously unattainable. Again, these units are pre-lubricated with an integral lifetime seal. They require no adjustment, are maintenance free, self contained and preloaded. Many of these units contain an integral ABS sensor.

Wheel Hub
The second evolutionary step adds a flange to the outer shell of the bearing, eliminating the need for a separate hub. The flange cup contains integral raceways, and some of the units include ABS sensors as well. The brake and wheel mount directly to the flange, greatly simplifying installation. Like Gen I, these units are pre-lubricated with an integral lifetime seal. They require no adjustment, are maintenance free, self contained and preloaded to assure long life.

Wheel Bearing
The first step in hub development consists of a double row angular contact ball bearing set that provides for lateral as well as vertical loads. These units are pre-lubricated with an integral lifetime seal. They require no adjustment, are maintenance free and self contained. One major benefit of this design is that it required no preloading at installation. While proper preloading could lengthen a bearing’s life, improperly done preloading (due to the difficulty of measuring end play precisely), could just as easily shorten it.

What is brake drag?
Brake drag is unwanted contact between the friction material and the braking surface when the brakes are not being engaged. Brake drag can cause:- Increased vehicle rolling resistance

How it works
