Product Details

Flywheel (168107) by RhinoPac®. A dual mass flywheel reduces engine vibration and makes shifting easier, but the internal damping system can fail and resurfacing may not be possible. To ensure silky smooth vehicle operation, install a new RhinoPac dual mass flywheel when you replace your clutch.

Features

  • Replaces worn, grooved, cracked, and warped flywheels
  • Ensures the correct clutch disc contact surface
  • Direct replacement
  • Helps provide a smooth power transfer to the wheels
  • Dampens vibrations from the engine
  • Solid construction for strength and durability

The Dual Mass Flywheel serves two primary functions: first, to store energy from each piston’s firing pulse and then send it to the crankshaft so that it continues smoothly rotating through the next piston stroke. Second, to dampen damaging torsional spikes caused by engine vibration. The DMF is actually 2 flywheels separated by a damping mechanism, making it much more complex and difficult to service compared to a solid flywheel. The damping mechanism can fail and many shops don’t have the specialized equipment to resurface these flywheels. Don’t take a chance with your vehicle or risk having to do the job a second time; get a new RhinoPac dual mass flywheel. Each new flywheel is designed and manufactured to OEM specifications using premium grade iron, and includes a new ring gear and dowel pins if equipped. Each flywheel is dynamically balanced to prevent vibration, and because it’s brand new, no core is required.
