Maximum legal total weight and proper axle loads have always been a matter of great concern for truckers. The effective usage of a vehicle’s capacity helps make more profit, but overall weight and loads on each axle are limited in most countries for safety reasons, and overweight is fraught with serious fines. Founded in the late 1990s, Right Weigh Inc. offers a relatively simple, smart, and affordable solution: load scales that can be mounted right in the truck to let you know the current weight per each axle without using commercial ground scales.

Right Weigh load scales are available in different designs specifically developed for spring and air suspension systems. Besides, there are digital and mechanical Right Weigh scales, and all of them are offered in exterior and interior versions depending on the place of their installation. All of them rely on special sensors mounted on the suspension in order to accurately define the current load. In the spring setup, these sensors detect the strain in the axle. They can be installed in trailers only, one sensor per each axle.

One digital scale can be connected to several sensors of an axle group. In air suspensions featuring height control valves, the sensors detect the fluctuation in air pressure. Digital scales offer higher functionality and better versatility than their mechanical counterparts; some models can send data to a smartphone via Bluetooth. Exterior digital scales have one or two air inputs, while interior digital models have up to four air inputs that monitor several axle groups. All of these products can be successfully used by truck or fleet owners and logistic operators in order to maximize productivity, save time and money needed to measure weight on the ground stations, and avoid potential overweight fines.
