It was winter of 1996-1997, when Sherwood Innovations Inc. became an independent company. For almost three years, they operated as a division of Centro Manufacturing, and only after all the possible experience and knowledge had been gathered, the company decided that it was time to move on. Over the years, Sherwood has grown from three people into a dedicated team of professionals, and gained an army of devoted fans all over the globe.

While being in the union with Centro Manufacturing, a tier 2 supplier to the original equipment manufacturers, Sherwood drew on the extensive engineering and manufacturing experience of its parent company. OEM-approved and precision-cut, Sherwood dash kits are subject to numerous tests. To ensure compliance with the FMVSS 302 requirements, the kits undergo various burn and flame tests.
