This handheld unit features an operating range from 6.5-15V and a testing capacity from 100-1400 CCA. It is compatible with a wide variety of battery types, including flooded, AGM flat plate, spiral wound, gel cell, start-stop AGM and enhanced flooded batteries. You can test everything from power sport to group 31 batteries with this versatile unit. It also tests starting and charging systems.
Operation is a cinch. Simply attach the cables to the battery. Press the enter button and choose among the battery test, system test and configuration options on the function screen. The tester then walks you through the testing sequence with a series of prompts on the screen. Once you have run the test, the backlit screen makes it easy to read results even if you’re working in bright light or low-light conditions. For a permanent record, you can easily print the results using the unit’s integrated printer.
The tester’s 36-inch cable leads make it convenient to access batteries in even hard-to-reach places. Plus, the cable ends are field replaceable, so you can get even more life out of this sturdy system if damage occurs to the clamps or cable ends.
