WARRANTY

DISCLAIMER
  • TJM Products Pty Ltd ("TJM 4x4") warrants your purchase of a new product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 3 years or 100,000 km (whichever comes first) from your date of purchase, unless:

  • A different warranty period is set out;

  • The TJM product is used for commercial use in which case the warranty period is the lesser of 1 year 20,000 km or one third of the period or distance specified, from the date of purchase.

CONDITIONS
  • It is a condition of the warranty that the product has been correctly installed by suitably qualified personnel and is used in accordance with accompanying instructions where provided (for example - if there has been loading of the product with weight more than the product information and/or manufacturers’ instructions).

  • This warranty will no longer apply where TJM considers (acting reasonably) there has been damage to the product as a result of an accident (for example collision), product alterations/modifications, incorrect installation, misuse, abuse, or neglect. Additionally, this warranty will not apply where there have been any alterations to the vehicle from the vehicle manufacturer’s specifications, instructions or manual or the product purchased is not suitable for use on the vehicle.

  • Use of the product for racing purposes is not covered by this warranty.

  • TJM will provide you with a repair or exchange (where possible) for the product if it becomes defective during the warranty period; however, the cost of removal and replacement is not covered by this warranty. The choice of repairing or replacing a defective product under warranty is at the absolute discretion of TJM.

  • TJM will not be liable to you or any third party in respect of any claim for injury, death, loss or damage to any person or property caused or arising out of the use of TJM products, except to the extent that liability is imposed upon the company by any statutory provisions that cannot be excluded.

  • Whilst TJM ensures all their products comply with relevant mandatory product safety standards, it is the sole responsibility of the purchasers to ensure their purchased product is suitable for use under the relevant law and regulations in their respective jurisdictions.
WARRANTY MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS

Corrosion Protection


  • If you have gone on an adventure, you must rinse all areas and remove any sand, mud or debris in and around areas of the TJM Product that can catch this type of matter.
  • If you have gone to the beach in your vehicle, you must be sure to rinse all saltwater and sand off the TJM Product to improve its longevity and life. Please be very thorough with fresh water and a sponge.

Recovery Winch


  • The winch cable is not pretensioned on the winch. Refer to the product information for the current procedure of pretensioning the cable on your winch.
  • You must ensure you run your winch at least once a month to maintain optimum performance.

Love, Care and Attention


  • If you are planning to drive in a salty environment, you must ensure that you spray all fasteners with a Lanolin or WD40 protectant for longevity.
  • If you spot a deep scratch in your TJM Product, you must touch up with paint to help prevent rust and inhibit corrosion.
  • You must wash & dry the TJM Product regularly using normal car wash to maintain appearance.

Roof Racks


  • After loading your roof rack you must ensure all bolts, mounting points and additional accessories are secure.
  • You must ensure you complete a weekly check that all bolts, mounting points and additional accessories are secure, especially when going off road.

Snorkels


  • Ensure that any drainholes in the airbox are kept clean and are not blocked.
  • Do not exceed the vehicle manufacturers recommended wading depth.

Suspension Products


  • After 500kms your vehicle must be returned for inspection and re-tensioning.
  • If air bags are fitted, a min of 10psi is required to be kept in the air bags at all times.
  • Pace alloy stone guard to be fitted to all vehicles that are expected to travel on unsealed roads.

General


  • You must ensure you regularly check all bolts and mounting points to make sure they are secure, for all accessories fitted to your vehicle.
