Power Steering Pumps
Vision-OE® - Power Steering Pump

Power steering systems depend on the hydraulic fluid circulated by the pump. When it’s time to replace this vital part, technicians and their customers want performance and value that lasts. That’s why we use a reman process with an OE-quality focus.

Power Steering Gears
Vision-OE® - Power Steering Gear

Steering gears, also known as recirculating ball gears or gear boxes, are used in the steering systems for rear-wheel-drive cars and trucks. Vision-OE remanufacture for all makes and models with precision, using an OE-engineered process that is similar to how new gears are made:

  • Gear housings are inspected and bead-blasted to eliminate rust and corrosion
  • Sector shafts are magnafluxed to ensure structural integrity
  • Sealing surfaces are inspected, reconditioned and polished
  • Seals and O-rings are replaced with new, OE-equivalent parts
  • Recirculating balls are 100% replaced with matched sets sized to ensure correct steering feel and performance
  • Assembled units are 100% functionally tested for leaks and performance

Starters
Vision-OE® - Starter Motor

Vision-OE remanufactured starters meet or exceed OE standards because they’re remanufactured using processes similar to the way new starters are made. Components are gauged, sorted, tested and renewed to OE quality specifications, and vital parts are replaced with new ones where needed. Every component and part must meet strict Vision-OE standards.

Scheduled testing of starters from the assembly line includes loading the starter to an OE quality specification. Instead of a “one-size-fits-all” approach, Vision-OE test engineers make certain that each starter model is tested with the load specification for its particular applications.

Because of this strict adherence to OE quality, a Vision-OE premium remanufactured starter installs quickly and easily, and provides cranking performance you can count on.

Alternators
Vision-OE® - Alternator

Vision-OE remanufactured alternators meet or exceed OE standards because they’re remanufactured using processes similar to the way new alternators are made. Vision-OE remanufactured alternators are built with components that are gauged, sorted, tested and renewed to OE quality specifications, and with vital new parts, too. In fact, every component and part must meet strict Vision-OE standards.

Inspection and spot testing of products from the assembly line includes a comprehensive “hot performance” test that compares an alternator’s performance with the OE-quality standards established for its particular applications.

The result of such attention to OE-quality is Vision-OE premium remanufactured alternators. They install easily, operate dependably and deliver performance that meets the high-power demands of today’s vehicles.

Remanufactured vs. Rebuilt

As a rule, remanufacturing puts more emphasis on building parts to OE specifications rather than fixing individual components that are worn or defective. A remanufacturer, like Vision-OE, disassembles a unit down to its basic components, replaces worn and failure-prone components, then restores the remaining components to OE standards before assembling the components to make a finished product. A rebuilder often subscribes to the "fix-it" philosophy of rebuilding. They test a part, figure out what is wrong with it, fix it and return it to the market. Only those components that are obviously defective or worn are replaced.
