Design, manufacture, and deliver the ultimate lighting solution.
Vision X Lighting is located in Auburn, Washington in the Greater Seattle Area. Established in 1997, Vision X Lighting’s products have consistently astounded customers with their lighting’s ability to perform in harsh environments and unbeatable light output. The engineering, product development, and marketing are conducted from the Vision X USA office, while Vision X Asia is home to the manufacturing, testing, and inventory logistics departments of Vision X Global Lighting. Today, Vision X Lighting has strong partnerships spanning across the globe where they continue to develop the most advanced lighting products in the world.
The Key to Vision X’s ongoing success, unmatched quality, valuing customer input, and performance is our team of world-class engineers who have taken outlandish concepts from conception and put them into production. Our engineers are never afraid of re-examining products to find ways to better serve customers. Since its conception, Vision X has listened to the end-user and put their ideas into action to further the quality, performance, and functionality of all Vision X products. Vision X Korea is our cutting edge manufacturing and testing facility, as well as, a shipping and account management hub for the eastern hemisphere.
Since 1997, Vision X has been providing the lighting solutions demanded by the market as well as innovating the next step for lighting. With the release of the HID series in late 2005, Vision X was the first to provide an HID internal ballast and starter to mass market, simplifying installation and reducing external components. Again in 2008 Vision X revolutionized lighting with the LED bar originally produced for NASA’s Back to the Moon Mission. Since then, Vision X has continued innovation with the Solo Pod - which gives as many lumens as a headlight from a single 2” x 2” housing - and heavy duty LED lighting for use in mining, industrial and commercial applications. The newest addition to the Vision X product line, the LED Light Cannon, transforms a single LED into 1000 feet of usable light. At Vision X, they are constantly striving to live up to their company motto of “Lighting Evolved.”
At Vision X, their products are constantly improving due to their rigorous product testing and standards they hold their products to. Their lights have been tested using the most rigorous tests available, including by NASA in their TORR Chamber. In this test, the light was tested at 10K (-323 F) and put through zero atmosphere tests. Vision X lights are used by NASA because Vision X lighting solutions stand up to the harshest conditions. Vision X lighting also goes through Ingress Protection testing which tests for the ability to keep out water and dust. Isolux Testing (for lumens at particular distances), Vibration Testing, and Thermal testing also take place. Many Vision X lights have also gained CE Approval. Through all these tests Vision X ensures the best lights possible are on the market. Keep your eyes posted and sunglasses close for many bright products to come.
Consumption
All products are put on a digital power meter to test that it is consuming the correct amount of power, checking for any electrical faults.
EMI
Products are tested in a sealed chamber to ensure that they don’t introduce RF noise into electronics/radios.
Submersion | Aging
Once products are assembled every product is run through a submersion (water dunk test), then placed onto an aging rack and powered up for 30 minutes to ensure proper operation.
Thermal Impact Rapid Temperature Change
Products are placed in a -40°C chamber for 30 minutes and then placed in an 80°C chamber for an additional 30 minutes. Products are then run for 72 hours to ensure full operational status.
Ingress High-Pressure IP69K
100 BAR water pressure to verify the Ingress Protection rating, ensuring they are sealed properly.
Photometric Isolux Beam Pattern
Lights are tested in the Goniophotometer to model the beam pattern and depict the overall light output.
Vibration Rating
Products are placed on the vibration shock table with a vibration range of 25.6G for 4 hours to test that they can withstand the rated vibration standard. Products tested at 60 G rms are performed off-site.
High Temperature & High Humidity Operational
Products are placed in a 60°C, 94% humidity chamber, and left operational for 72 hours. Afterward, products are inspected for moisture, water drops, damaged LEDs, flickering LEDs, and more.
Long-Term Durability
Products are then switched on and off 20,000 times repeatedly to ensure that they remain functional after all testing.
The Vision X product line is diverse and has products available for all markets. The military, industrial mining sites, commercial vessels, fire departments, and even NASA have trusted Vision X on equipment that doesn’t have the luxury of second-guessing their lighting. Our LED lights can be found on off-road vehicles, UTV/ATV’s, and even street-legal cars and motorcycles. Their key markets include:
You will find Vision X lighting is found everywhere. The military, border patrol, and even NASA have trusted Vision X on vehicles that cannot work with second best. Vision X is also trusted in the desert on off road vehicles that depend on seeing at night. But Vision X Lighting Solutions are not just for the professionals; the Vision X product line is diverse and has product available for all markets.
