    Product Details

Dodge Durango 2000, ProGuard™ Twin-Tube Shock Absorber by Gabriel®. You can’t always anticipate what the road throws at you. That’s why Gabriel ProGuard™ shocks are engineered for superior comfort and control, regardless of how tough the road conditions may be. Fine-tuned to meet the demands of today’s light trucks, vans and SUVs, Gabriel ProGuard shocks come equipped with a larger diameter piston that delivers better-than-OE response and performance, sportier handling and a smoother ride.

Whether it’s stop-and-go traffic on the way to work or grueling off-road conditions on the weekend, shock fade is significantly reduced thanks to a larger reservoir tube, which allows faster heat dissipation for better cooling and helps prevent cavitation.

While going off-road probably isn’t a daily activity, you can still expect that tough and rugged step-up in performance and durability from Gabriel ProGuard shocks. And just like all of our shocks and struts you can always expect every ProGuard to come with a super-finished chromed piston rod. It’s how Gabriels goes the extra mile to ensure superior corrosion resistance and enhanced sealing properties. It’s the right way. It’s the Original Gabriel way.

    Better Than Air Ride?
Quoted $1500 for air ride to fix my sag when fully packed out. Came across these for 10% the price and they actually work extremely well! If you’re on the fence; jump the fence and buy these! You won’t regret it.

    Good Shock With Versatility.
Nice handling shock. Very helpful to be able to adjust the load handling and/or ride height. I installed the airline's filler fitting in the rear hatch's covered space, just above the left taillight where it's convenient. However, one big bump (with about 40# PSI in the shocks) caused the airline to blow a hole. It was repairable, but perhaps using larger/tougher air lines is advisable.

    Great Replacement Quick Struts but......
Ordered set for the front end of a 2010 Volkswagen golf. Installation was fairly straightforward with no issues, HOWEVER, even after two weeks of driving on the new struts, the car sits approximately an inch and a half higher than the old shocks. I understand that the old shock were almost 10 years old and that that new shocks would likely sit a bit higher, perhaps a half inch or so. But not an inch and a half. Would have given more stars if not for this issue.
