It can also become downright dangerous flying through the air inside the cab if you’re involved in an accident. It’s hard to find items when they’re clumped together in a messy pile, and valuables strewn about your cab invites theft. But where can you organize and store a lot of gear within the confines of a pickup truck cab? Well, in extended cab and crew cab pickups there’s useable space under the back seat, and now DU-HA gives you an effective way to use it and organize your gear with this underseat storage case.
The installation of this Underseat Storage Case when the rear seats of your vehicle are heated is simple. The harness that feeds each seat bottom has a connector that is mounted to a pop-riveted bracket to provide the connector support. As the factory mounting location for the connector stands in the way of the mounting strap for both sides, you should do the following: 1) pull the connector with its plastic mounting tab out of the hole in the riveted bracket, 2) the Du-Ha mounting strap will now clear the bracket, 3) once the storage tray installation is complete, separate the mounting tab from the connector (pry up the lock tab and slide it off) then tie-wrap the connector to the Du-Ha strap on each side.
