Affordable fix for an annoying issue.
The liftgate on my 2012 Mazda CX-7 kept dropping unexpectedly. This part fixed the problem, and the price was great too.

Works like a charm.

Strong hold but heavy close
While it does hold the liftgate open securely, it takes a lot of effort to pull it down. My wife struggles with it, especially when her hands are full with groceries.
