TruParts offers a limited warranty on all its parts as follows:
- CAPA and/or NSF certified exterior collision replacement parts, including but not limited to sheet metal, bumpers, grills, are covered with a limited lifetime warranty. TruParts warrants these parts against defects in material and workmanship (and against rust perforation on sheet metal). Bulbs contained in lighting, including but not limited to headlights, taillights, and turn signal lights, are warranted against defects in material and workmanship for a period of 30 days from delivery date. Warranty coverage begins on the original date of purchase and extends for as long as the original purchaser owns the vehicle on which they are installed. Any part that is found to be defective will be repaired, replaced or exchanged at TruParts' discretion.
- Non-CAPA and/or non-NSF certified parts: exterior collision replacement parts, including but not limited to sheet metal, bumpers, grills, and headlamps, are warranted against defects in material and workmanship (and against rust perforation on sheet metal) for a period of 5 years/unlimited mileage to the owner of the vehicle (ownership at the time of part installation) on which they are installed. Bulbs contained in lighting, including but not limited to headlights, taillights, and turn signal lights, are warranted against defects in material and workmanship for a period of 30 days from delivery date. Any part that is found to be defective will be repaired, replaced or exchanged at TruParts' discretion.
- Radiators, condensers, mirror motors, air conditioning components, electrical components, window motors/regulators, suspension parts, cooling fans, and other parts not listed but offered by TruParts (unless stated otherwise on the accompanying documentation specific to that part) are warranted against defects in material and workmanship for 1 year/unlimited mileage from the date of delivery to the original purchaser. Any part that is found to be defective will be repaired, replaced or exchanged at TruParts' discretion.
TruParts reserves the right to inspect any part prior to replacement. This warranty may not be varied, supplemented, qualified, or interpreted by any prior course of dealings and is limited (non-transferable) to the original vehicle owner at the time repairs are made. There is no other express warranty on TruParts replacement parts.
Warranty Limitations: This warranty does not cover parts that fail due to improper installation or maintenance, collision, abuse, misuse, neglect, alteration, impact, accident, racing, or electrolysis. All warranties are null and void if the vehicle is used as a snow plow or other heavy commercial use, in a fleet, taxi, police or government vehicle, or limo service or has been converted from private passenger use to commercial or fleet use, or is used for racing or other competition or off-road recreational purposes. The sheet metal warranty does not cover: surface corrosion resulting from chips, scratches, or other causes; corrosion perforation caused by improper installation, neglect, accident, abuse, or any event not considered normal use to your vehicle; damage from the environment, including weather, hail damage, airborne fallout (chemicals, acid rain, etc.), cleaning solvents and/or polishing materials. To the extent allowed by law, loss of time, towing costs, rental charges, travel expenses, incidental damages, or loss of use or inconvenience, loss of use of the vehicle, commercial loss and lost profit damages are not covered and excluded.
All implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the duration of this warranty and do not cover incidental or consequential damages. TruParts specifically disclaims all liability for any consequential, incidental, and special damages resulting from defective parts. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state. TruParts' maximum liability for claims arising from a defective part shall be limited to the replacement of the part or a remedy not to exceed the price paid for the part, at TruParts' option. The limited warranties contained above are granted only to the original owner and are not transferable. Warranty coverage begins on date part is delivered regardless of the installation date. Warranty coverage ends on the earlier of warranty expiration date/mileage or the transfer of vehicle ownership.
