It pays to protect your vehicle. It isn’t difficult to do, and with Westin's one-piece, "off the hood" design, the protection also makes your vehicle look good. Gone are the days of the primitive plastic shields sticking straight up, detracting from the appearance of the vehicle they were supposed to keep looking good. The Platinum bug deflector contours to the hood, providing protection against nicks, bugs and flying debris. The digitally engineered design resists flex, flutter, vibration and provides a perfect fit. Customize your vehicle with a quick and easy to install Westin Platinum Bug Shield. It will pay for itself by keeping up the value of your vehicle.

Westin - Platinum Smoke Bug Shield
This bug shield fits my 2019 Colorado like a glove. How it follows the front contour of the hood makes it virtually invisible against my black truck, while providing complete front coverage. If anything the screws provided made it a bit difficult to install, as the slots in the shield were a bit undersized for the screws. With a little perseverance, all went together as is like a charm.

Doesn’t Fit Well for 2018 Toyota Tacoma
It looks ok and it’s poor quality. I was expecting it to be bigger. It scratched very easily well I was just storing it for installation and during installation. It does not install or hold tightly onto the hood. I had to glue the rubber piece to the hood so it does not fly off so easily when screwing it on. I center it perfectly on the hood but it still did not fit correctly. It was too long that the edge scratches the car when you close the hood. I ended up having to trim about an inch off the edge so it would not ruined the paint on my car. I would not recommend it for a 2018 Tacoma.
