Product Details

Ford F-150 2017, V2 Ram Air Hood by RKSport®. Heat Extractor Vents for Additional Cooling. Add an aerodynamic, stylish look to the front of your car. When designing this valance, the engineers implemented the same technical advances applied to the aerodynamics of race car ground effects. The unique design follows the fluid lines of the car, but with a much more aggressive appearance. Fiberglass base with deep resin, carbon fiber blister. Fiberglass portion is sealed in gray gel coat and ready for prep and paint. Carbon fiber is sealed in marine grade clear coat for maximum protection and shine. Installation typically requires sanding, trimming, and filling prior to painting, thus, professional installation is recommended.

RKSport draws on years of racing success to custom design each hood. They apply their extensive knowledge of aerodynamics to your car's classic lines to create panels that both improve and accentuate its style. Hood
Good product, went on and lined up with no adjustments, very pleased with this product. Shipping could have been faster though, when you pay over $150 for shipping you expect it to ship right away. It took about 3 weeks to get.

New Hood
This hood looks so nice on my car!! The fit was surprisingly good right out of the box. Needed prep work before it was ready for paint. The ram air scoop works well.

The Full Carbon Fiber Hood Is Great.
It fits great right out of the box. I did add hood pins because there is a bit of heat flex, but it bolts up to the factory hinges and latch just fine.

The hood looks great. There was very little body work required and no fitment issues. Painting was about $850. Vynl protectant is recommended. That’s an extra 400. The paint on the gel coat will rock chip easy. Problems are: the latch is mounted in a flexible piece so the wind bounces up quarter inch on the outer edge making me uncomfortable. Not sure if it can be fixed here or with the manufacturer. Air intake looked like you could just cut the top of the air cleaner and ad foam seal, but that’s on the unfiltered side so a new air box is needed for using this feature. Overall I just love the look.

Wow
For an aftermarket hood the initial fitting was wow(in a good way). My body guy guessed I spent way more than I did. Of course, it needed some prep to be ready for paint. I think the vents could be done a little differently to make for a better product...maybe clips glassed in so the vent mesh can be polished & attached later....but they're not bad enough to make me not buy again/recommend. Tons of thumbs up in traffic/stops for info/good comments.

RKSport Hood Nissian Titian XD
Fast shipping and nicely packaged. Very well built on the outside and underneath - very impressed. Love the look of it. Couple of issues: around the vents are strands of fiberglass mat and there is no way to get at them to sand them off, so we are going to try and use a razor and cut between the mesh grills. Passenger side to the hood was a perfect fit, but the drivers side has some issues. Looks like someone got a little too heavy with the sander and the curve got flattened out an will need to be reworked.

Hood Rating
Hood looks awesome. Fitment was pretty right on except one hinge hole was a little off. About 3/16” actually. Once I slotted my hood hinge everything else went smoothly. Overall I like the product and would recommend it.
