Ram 2500 2017, Hull-a-Port Kayak Carrier by Thule®. The Hull-a-Port delivers easy kayak loading and unloading, and safe, secure transport, with the versatility of enabling you to mount other Thule accessories on your roof rack. It can carry a kayak up to 36" wide and 75 lbs. and can be loaded by one person. The Hull-a-Port can be mounted to Thule rack systems, round bars and most factory racks. It's also available in a PRO version that folds down when not in use for increased overhead clearance and improved fuel economy.
Installation
When you want the option of being able to carry other gear on your roof rack, a vertical kayak carrier makes a lot of sense, but you don't want to sacrifice anything to gain that space. The carrier still has to be easy to load, strong enough to provide reliable transport and designed to be gentle to your kayak's surfaces. The Thule Hull-a-Port and Hull-a-Port PRO kayak carriers deliver. Both Hull-a-Ports mount quickly and easily without any tools to Thule racks systems, round bars and factory racks. The carrier's wide mouth J-profile makes loading and unloading easy enough for one person and the steel construction is sturdy enough to carry a kayak up to 36" wide and 75 lbs. The J-style carriers also don't take up a lot of space on your roof rack, so there's room left for other Thule accessories.
The padding on the J-style carriers is adjustable to ensure your kayak is protected during transport, and the tubing and hardware are rust resistant to ensure a long service life. Straps are included to secure one kayak, but up to 2 carriers can be installed per vehicle. The Hull-a-Port Pro allows you to fold it down when not in use. This means you won't have to take the carrier off to enjoy increased overhead clearance and improved fuel economy.
