    Product Details

Large Bore HD™ 409 SS Cat-Back Exhaust System with Single Side Exit (49-42002) by aFe®. With Muffler Delete Pipe. Exhaust System Type: Cat-Back. Exhaust Tubing Material: 409 SS. Main Tubing Diameter: 4". Exhaust System Sound: Aggressive / Loud. Get increased exhaust flow, more horsepower and torque, improved performance and lower exhaust gas temperatures with the aFe Large Bore HD Cat-Back Exhaust System. aFe dyno tests every system for maximum gains, and constructs them from mandrel-bent stainless steel for maximum flow and long-lasting durability.

    Installation

A performance exhaust system is one of the most common ways of improving a vehicle's operation. The theory is simple; just reduce restriction to increase exhaust flow and you gain power. But all exhaust systems are not created equal; in reality there's more to it than just selling some sewer pipe sized tubes.

aFe tests its systems on the flow bench and the dynamometer to determine the right pipe size and muffler construction. Then they mandrel bend the pipes to ensure they maintain their shape and size throughout the entire length, to provide smooth, unrestricted airflow. Tubes that are not mandrel bent can lose up to 20% of their diameter in sharp bends. An 8" diameter by 30" length, straight, flow-through, perforated muffler is included in the system. A straight muffler delete pipe is also included if a more aggressive sound and maximum flow is desired. This system will increase exhaust flow by up to 29% and lower EGT (Exhaust Gas Temperature) by up to 100º, with a corresponding improvement in power and performance.

But performance is only part of the equation. A quality exhaust system should be easy to install and made to last. The muffler and all pipes of the Large Bore HD system are constructed from durable 409 stainless steel. To ensure a tight seal, slotted and swedged ends are used whenever possible. When used with the supplied premium quality band clamps, the tightest, leak-free seal is the result. Every hanger is thoroughly welded on each side to ensure a strong attachment and the hangers also feature swaged bayonet ends to lock in place once installed. The factory mounting locations are used throughout and a 2-piece tailpipe facilitates adjustment.

Every system comes with clamps, hangers and detailed instructions to guide you through the installation. The Large Bore HD Exhaust System is made in USA.

    It’s Okay
Took me at most 20 minutes but I have a car lift. It had came with everything but when I got the box the exhaust hangar was poking out the box, it came with a license plate cover and 4 stickers. And yes with this exhaust you need to cut off the stock exhaust, it was super easy to install when I was finished I noticed the exhaust tips aren’t aligned that great it faces a little bit downwards. But when I had started the car it sounds loud in the interior sounds pretty good but my father says in sounds close to stock from the out side. I noticed when you rev and cruise at go to high rpm you barely hear the exhaust but when you cruise at low rpm or idles it sounds loud like a subwoofer. I had posted a video on YouTube copy and paste the name of this item and look it up on YouTube the name is car geek

    Truck sounds way better
Stock exhaust was too quiet, this adds some nice sound. Not crazy loud but deep enough to feel like an upgrade over stock.

    Awesome Sound
I chose aFe for my '19 Sierra 1500 and I really love the sound!! Deep and aggressive just what I was looking for. Noticed a slight boost in performance too.

    Thrilling Sound Upgrade!
I love how aggressive my truck sounds now. Definitely worth it for the growl alone! Installation was a bit tricky solo, I'd recommend having a buddy help out.

Easy Install , Everything Included , Sounds Great
Easy to install, took about 1 hour, no jack needed. all parts where included that needed to be installed. It’s like a puzzle, needed to loosen the middle and rear hook support brackets that are bolted to frame for easier install insert of the exhaust hooks into the rubber supports. Keep everything loose until it’s all connected. I used a can of wd40 on the joint to adjust the tail pipe to muffler connection and get it to slide in smooth and to adjust tail pipe so it faces up or down to your liking . Make sure to tighten after install and tighten again after 50 miles or so.sound is amazing , definitely makes the v8 titan sound like a v8, a for sure noticeable upgrade from stock . Sounds extra nice cruising through parking garages. For the price it’s a good find

    Waste of Money
I bought this kit for my 2021 Ram 3500, took 3 hrs to remove and install new exhaust, suppose to be loud and aggressive. NOT. Stock exhaust was better, no change in sound or anything.

    2door Jk
Works and sounds great, and I feel a little more hp while driving. I recommend buying an EVAP relocation kit due to the muffler being very close to it after installation.
