AlphaRex® 880135 - PRO-Series Driver and Passenger Side Chrome Projector Headlights with Sequential LED DRL

Well, I should have waited to review these AlphaRex PRO-Series lights.. I found recently that they outer light does not have a replaceable bulb. This is strange as PRO-Series lights for other makes and models do have an opening and conventional bulb. Also, I tried to install LED upgrades to these (nothing large) and found that Alpharex made the opening too small for anything larger than a Halogen H7 bulb. So, I guess I will have to Dremel the holes to make the LEDs fit... Ugh! If you want to upgrade these lights to LED, either be prepared to modify your new $400 lights, or take a hard pass. They still look decent, but I would have preferred a more customer-friendly path to upgrading to LED bulbs.

These AlphaRex PRO-Series lights look like they came on my 2005 Dodge Ram 2500 from the factory. My truck looks as nice as a new truck, without the $80k plus price tag. The sequential turn signals are very bright and they command attention. The marker lights are bright enough you could drive by them alone (not recommended). The included H7 bulbs are good enough that I am considering not going with LED bulbs. This kit comes with the wiring and module required to enable daytime running lights, but I found that I didn't need to install the DRL for the lights to work. The high and low beams required no adjustment and were aimed right where I wanted them. None of the bolts or push fittings are included, so you'll need to re-use your old ones or head to the parts store. Start with these AlphaRex PRO-Series lights and you won't be disappointed. I made the mistake of choosing another brand before I purchased these directly from AlphaRex. They were out-of-stock on TRUCKiD at the time.

I've had the lights installed for a year now and they have been great. No issues with them and I love the way they bring the trucks to the modern era with DRLs and switchback lights. The install was simple if you have any automotive experience small or big. Only downside is I put LED bulbs in the housings and that effects the light output. Still plenty to see safely but something to keep in mind if you get the PRO series and plan to install LEDs at a later date.

These are fantastic lights. Purchased for my dad and they look slick af. Used them to convert his truck from sealed beam to this style light. High quality and worth every penny. Would highly recommend.

If you're looking to give your truck a new look then these are for you. Look great, easy to install, fairly easy to adjust. Super bright.

I'm not a fan of projector headlights for no other reason than cosmetics - I don't like the way they look. I felt I needed to upgrade, however, and after some research, these seemed to be the best offering for what I wanted. The Pros: 1. Relatively straightforward installation. There's only one issue, which I will get to soon. 2. Vast difference in night driving. I would say they're 100% brighter than what I had, and the high beams are a dream. 3. The running lights are great. Nice and bright. 4. The turn signals are equally great! Everything comes up to modern technology and cosmetics. Cons: 1. The main downside for my particular truck, is that you cannot access the adjustment screw once installed. Also, there is only ONE screw for adjustment instead of the usual two for horizontal and vertical adjustments. After I had installed one, I found out I had to cut away part of the radiator support to access the screw. Poor design. 2. I think the parking light could be better. You only have one small light on the side, whereas I think they could have lit up the entire strip. 3. No user serviceable parts. I understand this is why there's a 2-year warranty, but 2 years really isn't that much for what it is and the investment. Also, if something does go wrong, what are you supposed to do? Drive around with one headlight assembly until you send it back and they determine if it's a warranty issue or not and decide what to do? That could take quite a while. Overall, I do like the lights and the performance, so far. The cons are the reason for the one-star reduction. Hopefully, they'll last a long time, and I won't have to be concerned so much with the downsides.

My stock headlights weren’t putting out enough light, so I bought these hoping for better light output and as a little glow up for my truck. They are definitely brighter than my stock lights, but maybe not as bright as I had imagined. They look great on my truck!! Minus one star because the fuse tap was missing so I had to go buy one mid-project.

These lights completely transformed my 2003 Ram. Look futuristic even better when the sun goes down. Install was pretty straightforward. Light output is no joke - probably triple what the stock ones were putting out.

Installed alpharex lights on my 2017 Ram 1500. The black housing adds a bold modern edge to my truck's look. The headlights improved visibility at night and sequential turn signals are cool. Straightforward installation and perfect fit.

When one of my headlights quit working, I upgraded to these. No comparison. These are brighter, cooler-looking and just way better all around.
