Anzo® 111404 - Plank Style Driver and Passenger Side Black LED DRL Bar Projector Headlights

I'm going to start with the Pros and Cons that I found. Pros: Great styling Good fit Cons: No instructions Not very heavy duty Required wire connectors not included Not actual DRL Light beam is not very evenly dispersed. TRUCKiD does not offer the 2019 Ram 1500 Classic as a vehicle option, so I purchased these lights under the 2018 Ram 1500 option. Initially, the lights fit but were not perfectly flush with the edge of the hood. I was able to fix that by installing some plastic spacer washers between the front mounting screw and frame. Fits perfectly now. The halo light has two of it's own loose wires that must be connected to the parking light wires. I found this out by clicking the installation instructions under this light on the TRUCKiD website. However, the instructions are general and not vehicle specific. They tell me to connect the wires with the wire connectors, but Anzo does not furnish the connectors. I had to buy them separately. While installing the lights, the plastic "arm" that must be latched from under the wheel well broke when I pulled the white latching tab to secure it. I was able to fix that using a bolt and washer. I replaced the included halogen bulb with a LED lamp. The beam pattern is usable at night but a little erratic. I'm not sure if its the lamp or the projector's fault. Either way, the headlights look much better than the factory OEM halogen lights.

Looks really great and super modern, but they are not true DRL so don't be fooled. Also, I do not think that the the halogen bulbs are replaceable as I wanted to swap them with LED. It has some weird connection that I don't even want to mess with. If anyone finds anything out, let me know!

I have had them for just over 3 years and I'm back on TRUCKiD looking for a new set because I'm tired of all the issues. The first issue was one of the lamps collected a ton of moisture after a lot of rain/humidy. I live in a ralatively dry climate so heavy rain isn't normal and I didn't notice the issue until it was already outside of warranty. I ended up drilling a small weep hole in the bottom of the lense to allow it to drain which seems to have fixed it. No buildup since. Later, the bottom of one of the LED strips died (pictured). Hard to say if it was related to the moisture buildup or not but whatever. Again, outside warranty and i wasn't going to buy another one just for the LED issue. If it was just those two issues I would just let them ride, but the one that has me back here is how many low beam bulbs I go through. I have another truck with factory lamps and similar mileage and over the last 3 years running the same bulbs I have only replaced the low brands once. I replace at least one low beam every 6-9 months in these and they aren't exactly easy to get to which makes the problem even worse. I can only speculate that the way they are held is causing excessive vibration and causing them to fail prematurely. This is primarily a highway truck that sees very little offroad use. As much as I love how they look, I just can't justify the cost of replacement bulbs with every oil change any more.

These headlights shipped the day I bought them and came within 48 hours. Fitment is tight because it follows the exact dimensions of the stock headlight housing. Getting the DRL to work was easy, you just have to go to your local auto parts store and get some scotch locks (cheap). There is a video provided by Anzo and how to spice the wires and install them as well. The only thing that wasn't working correctly was the signal bulb, which couldn't or could be Anzo's fault, but I'm not going to complain about it. It was an easy fix if you kept your stock bulbs near.

These lights are totally useless for highway driving. First of all, the low beam shines less than a fog light; you're lucky if you can see 50' in front of the vehicle. The high beam is not much better, producing brighter light, but with a huge dark spot in the middle of the beam. It's like all you notice is a circle of light, very hard to focus your attention on the road. All in all, the original factory halogen lamps produce much more usable light. On the plus side, they are very easy to install & look good. If your intention is only to make your truck look good, these will probably work for you, but for actual night time use, not so much.

I installed them about a month ago and so far everything is good. Easy install, you can find tons of videos on YouTube on how to install them. YouTube certified. I'll come back if I have any issues and update this review.
