Universal SL DOT 4 Brake Fluid by ATE®. This product data sheet describes the properties of the ATE DOT 4 brake fluid SL intended for use as hydraulic fluid in brake and clutch systems of motor vehicles. ATE DOT 4 Brake Fluid SL is a proven hydraulic fluid for hydraulic brake and clutch systems of motor vehicles. It is a mixture of polyethylene glycol ethers, polyethylene glycols and boric acid esters of polyethylene glycols with anti-corrosion / anti-aging agents and further additives. ATE DOT 4 Brake Fluid SL meets and even exceeds the requirements of the brake fluid standards FMVSS-No. 116 - DOT 4, SAE J1704 and ISO 4925, Class 4, among others.
Brake fluid must be replaced regularly. The replacement intervals specified by the vehicle manufacturer must be complied with. The instructions of the vehicle manufacturer with respect to the brake fluid specification must be observed.
