Autogold uses solid stainless steel sheet metal as a base material. The reason: stainless steel sheet is not porous, polishes well and doesn't ever rust. These frames will last! They never rust or corrode. They'll look good for years. Their license plates are Made in the USA completely in one plant. By performing every step of the manufacturing process in one plant, they can provide a better frame at or below what you'll pay for a cheap foreign made product.

Logo plates include vehicle specific hardware and matching screw caps to conceal unsightly hardware. Some unseen hardware is zinc-plated, but all visible hardware is stainless, and often has an ornamental cover to cover any exposed screw heads or unsightly threads. When installing the screws, don't over-tighten them. You are only installing a license plate and/or a frame. It doesn't take a lot of torque to hold it on the vehicle (unlike a wheel). Over-tightening of the mounting crews distorts the retainers and makes it very difficult to snap the screw covers in place. Screw covers must "snap" onto the retainers or they will fall off. When properly installed the screw covers act as a theft deterrent.
