A well-designed bug deflector hood shield protects your vehicle in two ways: First, it shields the leading edge of your hood and fenders from stones and other debris borne by the wind or thrown up by other vehicles, keeping your hood and fenders free of dings, dents and chipped paint. Second, the lip of the shield redirects airflow enough to propel bugs and debris up and over your vehicle, instead of crashing and splattering into your windshield, preserving and maintaining your visibility and keeping your windshield free of chips and scratches. The Carflector Hood Shield is one of the best-selling automotive products in North America because it’s so effective at both tasks.

The Carflector is the low profile version of the AVS Bugflector II, intended for cars and SUVs. It’s designed for those who want a sleeker, more aerodynamic appearance while still gaining protection from bugs, stones and debris. The Carflector is custom designed to perfectly match the contours of your hood and front fenders and be aerodynamically efficient. It's made of rugged impact modified acrylic which is virtually indestructible, so you’ll get many years of protection, and installs simply and quickly with 3M double-sided tape and/or mechanical fasteners, depending on application. Once installed, you’ll find that the included rubber bumpers will keep the shield from contacting the body, to protect the paint finish, and if cleaning is necessary the shield can be easily removed.

The dark smoke finish of the Carflector will make it an attractive addition to your vehicle. Cleaning the shield is easy with soap and water, and cleaning solvents or other chemical products should not be used. The Carflector comes with everything required for installation, including hardware and detailed instructions, and it’s covered by a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty applies to the original purchaser as long as he or she owns the vehicle on which the product is installed.

Great Addition

The product is high quality and strong yet flexible. It fits well with slight accommodation made for the farthest most left and right screws attaching the foil to the hood. Looks good on the Rogue too.

Carflector

The carflector did fit the 2025 RAV4. However, I would have preferred if the shield was attached around the hood with plastic srews/attachments instead of 3M tape on top of the hood.

Not what i had expected

Like that it attached under the hood with actual clips and not just 3m tape, but do not like the fact that this deflector does not go across the whole length of the hood and is only the front part.

There Are Some Fundamental Flaws in the Design of the Bag Deflector.

There are some fundamental flaws in the design of the bag deflector. One-piece design and so-called easy installation will result in many serious problem for you vehicle in a long run. The bag deflector is not really compatible with my new 2020 CR-V EX-L despite your company's claims that that it does. If the bag deflector is to be installed as per installation instructions, it will interfere with the proper closing the hood, scratching head lights as well as damaging the paint on the edge of the hood. Indeed, factory-drilled holes are not in their optimal positions and appear to worsen the situation. Having this deflector installed on my vehicle will result in the vehicle sustaining paintwork damage, head lights damage as well as possible engine damage due to weather elements. Also, due to the design of the deflector, there will be some water trapped under the hood, which, in turn, will result in developing rust. I will look for other bag deflectors that do not have those issues.
