Monster™ Aluminized Steel DPF-Back Exhaust System with Single Side Exit (48997) by Banks®. Exhaust System Type: DPF-Back. Exhaust Tubing Material: Aluminized Steel. Main Tubing Diameter: 5". Exhaust System Sound: Moderate. Improve performance and economy with a Banks Monster Exhaust system. Increased pipe size is only part of it. Banks uses constant-diameter mandrel bending to keep their stainless steel pipes restriction-free. This system will substantially reduce backpressure, improving scavenging and cylinder filling. It also restores that authoritative exhaust note you've missed.
Banks Power Monster Exhaust systems feature large-diameter heavy-duty stainless Monster Exhaust system with constant-diameter intermediate pipe and tailpipe. The Monster muffler uses an exclusive straight-through expansion chamber design that provides a deep, throaty exhaust note, but doesn't make you crazy with freeway drone. Packed with a refractory ceramic packing instead of fiberglass, these mufflers will retain their mellow note far longer than the competition.
Reduced backpressure means you don't spend money on fuel to push exhaust out through a restrictive exhaust system and muffler. The Monster system lets it flow more easily, giving you improved power, torque and fuel economy all at the same time. Letting more exhaust downstream faster means better scavenging of the cylinders, which in turn means more cylinder filling with intake air. That translates directly to improved power and torque. You'll feel that improvement immediately, whether you haul a heavy load or tow a big trailer. That goes double if you ever go up a hill.
