Universal 72" Crossover Single Lid Truck Tool Box by Better Built®. Accessoriesexterior. Truck Bed Railtorail Tool Box. This BETTER BUILT® Saddle Truck Tool Box is constructed of heavy duty diamond tread plate aluminum and will never rust. The stainless steel paddle handle latches feature double static cams that guide the lid striker into the lock, allowing you to easily open the truck box while providing maximum security. Auto-lift, self-rising, gas powered shocks allow for easy, single handed entry in to the box. The self-adjusting striker accommodates for any misalignment between the lid striker and the latch to ensure the lid closes securely every time. The deep design provides maximum storage space for larger items. Crossover boxes are designed with patented integral ends, which means the end of the truck box is made of a solid piece of metal, adding strength and creating a small parts storage area. The tub of the box is constructed from one piece of metal, which creates less welds and gives the box added strength. The lid features a reinforced metal lid brace for added strength and a full perimeter closed-cell weather resistant seal to protect your truck box contents from dirt and moisture. The patented up-and-over rod moves the locking system away from the working space of the box, keeping it from being damaged.

Nice Tool Box
I put this on a 2019 Tacoma. It only fits because I have a rack and bed rails that raises the functional bed height by 2". It was a pain finding all the measurements, but it works well. Latch mechanisms are good. It's rugged enough and it really is low profile. I attached it with custom (long) bolts into specialty slugs in Toyotas trac-system. I got the slugs on Amazon.

Crossover Tool Box Review
This box is just what I was looking for: compact, yet still capable of carrying stuff that needs to be protected. Two comments are applicable to this product. 1. The recommended Better Built Grip Rite Mounting System is totally worthless. The system is nothing more than cheap plastic that breaks under cold temperatures and normal service conditions. Avoid this mounting system unless you have lots of money to squander on worthless junk. Stick with metal tiedowns. 2. Under backroad conditions, the lid has magically opened, even though it was locked closed. There is something that is inherently unreliable with the latch system. Other than the two comments above, the box seems to be as advertised. As for recommending this box, I'd rate it as neutral.

Perfect Fit in My 2017 FCrew Cab
I bought this because it has the slant lid. That allows the driver to be able to see the 5th wheel hitch when backing under a trailer. NO other box on the market allows this. I was disappointed, however, that I asked the vendor to see if I could get one in diamond plate black, but they said no. I have two other trucks with Better Built, slant topped, BLACK boxes in them, so I know that Better Built used to make them in black. A black one would have matched my new truck much better. Other than the color issue, it is a great box. The thickness of the metal, however, has gotten thinner since my last purchase.

Better Built® 64210152 - Crown Series Double Doors Top Mount Tool Box
Boxes look well built. Boxes arrived within 4 days by motor carrier which was good but with the paint scratched on ends of the boxes and on top. This is not Better Built's fault. I am installing the boxes which looks used now because I do not want to wait for a replacement to arrive. Overall I would recommend the boxes to you.

Better Built Wheel Tool Box
This box will only be good for very very light duty. Made of extremely thin aluminum and with a poorly made and fitted lid, it is not a quality product. The best part about it is the handle/latch. Very good selling services.

Better Built Drawer Box
The quality of this box is very poor. The aluminum is very very thin and the fit of the door is very rough and required manipulation to work. The inside drawers are good and solid but the box itself is flimsy and poorly made. I was very dissapointed.
