B&I® - Dash Kit Installation Instructions

Installation of a 2D Premium Dash Trim kit from B&I transforms your plain old vehicle interior and makes it exciting and elegant. Choose trim in real or synthetic wood, real or imitated carbon fiber, metal or solid colors, to cover the areas that the manufacturer of your vehicle left bare. The B&I 2D dash kits feature a 3M adhesive backing that does not require messy primer. The adhesive does not stick permanently until it has cured, which allows you to reposition components that have not been placed with the precision you desire, without creating a mess. The real wood components are made with seamless wood. Edges are laser blackened to give a smooth visual transition to the original panels behind the trim.

B&I takes pride in its precise fitments. ClearVUE™ cutouts for dashboard lights and illuminated symbols and OEM symbol printing provide a true OEM look. The B&I TruMATCH™ color matching technology ensures a perfect match to OEM trim and between different B&I trim components. This makes it easy to match a custom trim steering wheel from B&I to both the original interior panels and custom trim dash kits, for unsurpassed consistency in materials and color of your customized interior. Chrome and logo highlights are available for selected trim kits. All materials (except real metal) are covered with a protective, scratch and UV resistant GemFLEX™ clear coat with a gloss or matte surface.

B&I products are covered by a Limited Lifetime Warranty, during which its products are warranted to be free from defects in material or workmanship. The Lifetime warranty is extended to the original end-user, and is not transferrable to subsequent owners, unless specifically stated otherwise.

The Warranty applies to products which are purchased, installed, and used for the purposes for which they are originally designed. This warranty covers defects arising under normal use and does not cover malfunctions or failures resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, improper installation, or incorrect maintenance.

During the warranty period, B&I will repair or replace, at no charge, a product that is defective in materials or workmanship. B&I reserves the right to either repair or replace a defective component at its discretion and reserves the right to substitute an equivalent product under the terms of this Warranty.

Audi Q7

Product is good. It comes pretty close to matching the factory color. Was mostly easy to install except when the pieces were too big or too small. The largest piece, happened to be the piece I was most interested in installing was around the instrument cluster & navigation is just not cut correctly. As a result of it being oversized, it buckled in several places and looks more like a sticker than the desired look of a wood grain dash. I actually had to cut the kit with a knife around the navigation, under the dash and above the instrument cluster to try and relieve some of the buckling. This piece buckled so bad above the instrument cluster that the finished bubbled and detached from the wood paper. I actually had to shave off some of the finish of the kit in order to get it to lay flat. This resulted in a 1 inch space with no finish. There is some warping and additional bubbles in other spaces on this one piece that just doesn’t look good. Super disappointed by this. The piece that goes around the CD player is also not a good fit and I really needed to spend a lot of time and apply a ton of heat to finally get it to lay flat. It still isn’t perfect. The ash tray covers for the back seat doors are not even close to fitting correctly. It’s almost laughable about how much they missed on these pieces. Which is interesting because the piece that fits around it, fits perfectly. But the ash tray lid is so small that there is quite a bit of factory lid showing all the way around the piece they provided. It’s look really bad. The rest of the pieces work great and look great. I just wish the colors matched the OEM factory pieces a little better.

Mustang Carbon Fiber Interior

I was a little worried buying this with no reviews but it was surprisingly good, everything stuck on very easily all parts fit almost perfectly i had to take off my silver peace by the shifter but i put it over the carbon fiber and it fit like normal, i got the 35 pack, i liked it a lot and would buy again, says it’s real carbon fiber, it looks real and is hard to tell if it’s not but i think it is

Looks great!

I ordered the large (28 piece) real grey Birds Eye maple kit and had high expectations, given the near $400 price tag. It looks absolutely fantastic! I couldn’t be happier with how this turned out. Installation took about an hour! Buy it!

Decent For The Price

Kit looks OK, but there is so much gloss on top of the wood it’s hard to see unless it’s in direct sunlight. Kit was missing pieces I thought it would have come with, such as front outer AC vent surrounds and door handle surrounds. This is my second B&I kit. Fitment is decent, but a couple pieces are not cut out properly for buttons on my model. Overall for the price it’s a good kit, but the bronze burlwood is lackluster.
