Product Details

Oxygen Sensor by Bosch®. The Bosch oxygen sensor utilizes a mix of zirconium and yttrium oxides and other elements to form a tough base that withstands the intense stress to which oxygen sensors are subjected. Each element is incredibly strong for best-in-class performance and maximum service life.

An oxygen sensor detects the amount of oxygen in vehicle's exhaust gases and sends a signal to the engine computer. This signal is used by the engine ECU to fine-tune the air/fuel mixture to the optimal level to ensure maximum catalyst efficiency and a long service life. A worn-out oxygen sensor can cause serious problems like excessive fuel consumption and elevated exhaust emissions as well as shorten the life of a catalytic converter and affect engine performance. Bosch oxygen sensors are the number one choice for many car makers worldwide. Each oxygen sensor by Bosch is subjected to a 1,000 degree Celsius functional test and a leak test to ensure environmental and functional robustness. Bosch oxygen sensors feature a revolutionary Bosch patented universal connection system that is fully submersible in water and protects against contamination as well as withstands extreme temperatures and engine vibration.

Great!
Porsche had 60k miles and wasn't passing emissions test. This helped fix the air/fuel problem.

Downstream Sensor, 2000 Jettta
Good quality Bosch sensor. While the Bosch website along with several others and this vendor identified it as an OEM replacement for a 2000 Jetta GLS 2.0 L engine the plug did not match the original sensor plug. The original was brown in color, has a small tab at one corner and is a tiny bit smaller so the plug on this sensor would not fit the harness connector. I cut the cable and spliced the old connector back into it. Not a big deal unless you don't happen to have a soldering iron and some heat shrink tube handy to ensure a good splice. My car is a Canadian model and it's possible it may have had a different connector however I doubt that since it was built in Mexico where US models were also built.
