Product Details

Universal Velocity Series™ High Speed Jack (185402) by Bulldog®. Without Wired Remote. Lift Capacity: 12000 lbs. Limited 5 Years Warranty. Without Remote. Capacity: 12000 lbs. A jack is simply a necessity for the tongue of most trailers, if you ever expect to hitch up or drop your trailer. Don't bark your knuckles or drop your trailer tongue onto the ground trying to make a worn-out or damaged jack work just one more time. Replace it with a new jack. Consider an upgrade to a 2-speed jack or even a powered jack.

Installation

Maybe you're lucky, and your trailer has so little tongue weight that you don't need a jack. But for anything bigger than a small utility trailer, you'll need a jack. Even on a small trailer it's handy, just to keep the trailer flat while loading and unloading it. But most trailers need a jack just to get them on and off the hitch ball. Don't put up with a rusty, bent or worn-out jack that fights you every time you need to lift the trailer. Years of abuse and neglect are not kind to the mechanism inside a jack, and a single instance of not lifting the jack back up far enough after hitching up can result in a ground strike that leaves it sprung out of alignment. Replacement will make your day shorter.

If you have a heavy trailer, it can take a lot of time and a lot of muscle to crank the tongue up high enough of clear the hitch ball. Add in a lot of time to retract the jack far enough to clear the ground underway and you can see why a 20speed jack might be worth it. Plenty of mechanical advantage to lift, and faster travel when the foot is not on the ground. Typical gear ratios in these jacks offer a 3:1 ratio, reducing the number of turns or an inch of travel from 29 to only 9. Better yet, a powered jack takes all the effort out of hooking up or spotting a trailer. No more huffing and puffing or getting blisters turning the crank. If you hitch up and drop off regularly, this is a real timesaver.

Electric Jack
Awesome electric jack, but comes with no hardware, or remote. Has no switch on the jack. Thus the need for a remote.

Great Product.
Fit without any problems. Was worried after I received the shipping estimate of a month away even though the website said they had 9 in stock. Had to call and they promptly contacted a different warehouse and it showed up in just a few days without any additional freight.

Awesome Set Of Landing Gear
This set bolted right up to my existing set of hangers. I also like the control panel that comes with it. It is a heavy set of jacks. The two switches make it nice to keep your trailer level.

Strong Product
This item is definitely worth the 6 month wait on backorder that I had to experience. They are very strong jacks. Installation is simple enough with the appropriate welding equipment. In some cases the brackets from pre-existing jacks will not need to be removed, not the case with mine. The motor on one jack is very loud and chattery and the other is very quiet and smooth. I will be sending the loud one back under warranty. Overall, pleased with the product. I am disappointed with TRUCKiD listing this item "in stock" on their website when it was backordered 6 months.

Adapter Plate
Works very well as a replacement for the one I lost for my 30 foot Travel Trailed. Nice finish which I suspect inhibits rust but I painted my as I suspect it will not take much use before it would have started rusting.
