The power steering system enables you to turn the steering wheel so easily. The power steering system consists of several parts including a power steering pump. When you turn the steering wheel, the power steering pump sends fluid to the steering gear that applies necessary pressure to turn the wheels. If the power steering pump leaks, the steering will become harder to turn, or you will hear groaning-like noise, or you'll see power steering fluid underneath your vehicle. Loud
The pump looked brand new, not like it was rebuilt. Installing it was simple but requires some experience. Once installed the pump was making loud whinnying noises. Seems to be something wrong with pump but performance not effected. Truck handles fine, just concerns about noise.

Just Like the Original
Power steering pump, seems very easy to install, but I was wrong. Had to take it to a local mechanic to have it installed, despite ordered with the pulley, the location on my truck, was not that easy.

Overall Very Good!
The new Cardone pump does make a little whine noise, but quieter than the OEM it replacement. No leaks so far.
