Too Much Friction, Even Brand New. Inner Cable Is Horrible and Will Corrode.
The inner cable is extremely coarsely braided and made out of galvanized steel, instead of stainless, and lacks a Teflon (or similar) coating to reduce friction like the OEM cable. Even brand new, it has significantly more friction than an old worn out OEM cable. Bought it for a future project and waited a few months to open the packaging and check it out. Would have returned it immediately. 2 stars instead of 1 because the rest of the housing is made correctly and would fit well.
