The CURT A-series is named for its articulating head design. The hitch head is built on a patented cast yoke that offers a stable, quiet ride, even with large 5th wheel trailers.
Cast yoke suppresses shock loads and noise
This 5th wheel hitch uses a cast yoke with poly-torsion inserts to absorb road shocks and vibration as well as reduce annoying towing noise from the trailer.
Articulating torsion head for controlled coupling and stable towing
This A-Series hitch features a fully articulating torsion head that provides an extremely stable connection, while still being able to move and flex with the articulation of the trailer.
Alignment pegs and easy-access bolts for simple leg-to-body attachment

Universal A16 Series 5th Wheel Hitch (16120) by CURT®. 16000 lbs Towing Capacity. Includes 5th wheel legs, pins and clips. The CURT A16 is designed to provide a surprisingly quiet ride while maintain superior towing power. It has a gross trailer weight capacity of 16,000 lbs. and can handle a vertical load up to 4,000 lbs. It comes with a three-position coupling indicator visible from your pickup truck cab, an extra wide head for easier coupling and high-strength interlocking die-cast jaws for a secure hold on your 5th wheel trailer.
Installation
This 16K 5th wheel hitch excels in quiet 5th wheel towing. It uses a fully articulating torsion head, a cast yoke with poly-torsion inserts and interlocking jaws to create stability for your trailer and tow vehicle. These components also allow the A16 to suppress shock and vibrations and reduce any additional noise coming from your trailer. Like the other CURT A-Series hitches, the A16 is coated with a durable carbide powder coat finish. It meets proposed SAE J2638 standards and includes a limited lifetime warranty to make this the best hitch ever to be mounted in the back of your pickup.
5th wheel hitches are by far the most trouble-free, easiest to hook up, and sweetest-towing rig on the road. Because the hitch is centered over the rear axle instead of four to six feet behind the axle, crosswinds and pavement irregularities that affect the trailer don’t affect the pickup nearly as much. Much like receiver hitches, 5th wheel hitches use an industry-standard rail system so they can be moved to a different truck, or removed temporarily to use the bed for normal hauling.
