Product Details

Connectors by CURT®. A CURT custom wiring connector (sometimes called a T-connector) is a simple, plug-and-play electrical device that eliminates the need for cutting, splicing and soldering when installing vehicle-to-trailer wiring. Most vehicles do not come ready to tow. Unless your vehicle has a towing package, it is probably not equipped with a trailer wiring connector. This is where CURT's custom wiring connectors come into play. A custom wiring connector uses a single original equipment plug to plug into a special socket provided by your vehicle. Though this option is not available on every vehicle, some automotive manufacturers design their vehicles to be easily equipped for towing by supplying a socket, integrated into the vehicle's electrical system, to readily accept a custom wiring connector. With a CURT custom wiring connector, there is no need to tap into the taillight assembly because a special socket is already provided.

Even if you've already hitched your trailer up, you're not actually ready to hit the road. What you also need to do is ensure the trailer has enough power to run turn signals and brake lights. That's why you need this T-connector. CURT applies SMT (surface mount technology) to any T-connector with a built-in converter, which allows for lower resistance, less heat generation and longer life cycle. The majority of CURT T-connectors require neither splicing nor cutting or taping, however if the length is not appropriate, you can cut the connector to appropriate length and splice it to the tail light wiring. Custom-designed to precisely fit your vehicle, this T-connector is created to deliver unsurpassed levels of performance, reliability and durability.

2025 Chevy Trax Trailer Wiring Hook Up
Recently purchased a 2025 Chevy Trax and Installed a Trailer Hitch and needed a plug and go Trailer Harness, I bought the Curt T-Connector which was a perfect fit and also included all necessary connectors and directions, you will need to purchase the plastic tools to help in the removal of components in back of trunk to gain access to car harness to hook it all up, after hook up I plug in trailer to car and all lights worked perfect, its a good clean set up.

Easy to install
This is replacing one that I installed about 5 years ago and quit working. I wish it would have lasted longer but the fact that it is plug and play made the replacement not so difficult.

Wired backwards?
This item appears to be wired backwards. At the end that plugs into the vehicle with the clip side up the wiring, from left to right, should be white, brown, green and yellow. It is actually green, yellow, brown and white.

Works 10% of the Time.
Left flasher acts like if rear bulb was burnt, but it sometimes works.
