Product Details

Universal E16 Series 5th Wheel Hitch with Rails (16116) by CURT®. 16000 lbs Towing Capacity. Includes 5th wheel legs, base rails, pins and clips. The CURT E16 5th wheel trailer hitch is an economical choice that offers many of the same features found in Q-Series 5th wheel hitches. The E16 has a gross trailer weight rating of 16000 lbs. and can withstand a vertical load up to 4000 lbs. It comes with a dual-pivoting head, 10 degrees of lateral movement and an anti-rattle skid plate to provide a smoother, quieter ride. The E16 also comes with easy, single-handle operation and a durable carbide powder coat for long-lasting protection against the elements. With four height adjustment settings, the E16 is quick and simple to install, and it is backed by a five-year limited warranty. This 16K 5th wheel hitch comes with a set of standard 5th wheel legs and 5th wheel rails to be mounted in your truck bed with a 5th wheel bracket kit.

5th wheel hitches are by far the most trouble-free, easiest to hook up, and sweetest-towing rig on the road. Because the hitch is centered over the rear axle instead of four to six feet behind the axle, crosswinds and pavement irregularities that affect the trailer don’t affect the pickup nearly as much. Much like receiver hitches, 5th wheel hitches use an industry-standard rail system so they can be moved to a different truck, or removed temporarily to use the bed for normal hauling.

Solid Hitch
Had issues with my previous hitch lots of chucking and noise. Switched to this Power ride 30K, it fixed all that and it handles my 5th wheel like a champ. No noise and I trust it with the heavy loads.

A16 5th Wheel Wedge Kit
I made a mistake when I order this item, the need was for a curt E-16k, that's why I order the other one specialy for the E-16, I received it and I'm ok with it, but the first one is useless. Everything was right, the error was mine.

Great Hitch. But...
This is a great hitch. The legs fit perfectly in my 2016 Nissan Titan XD factory pucks. I do like that the hitch itself can be easily removed for proper storage. Hitching and un-hitching work seamlessly. My Grand Design Fifth Wheel Trailer came equipped with the Lippert Turning Point Pin Box. The ‘universal’ wedge plate that came with the trailer does not work with the Curt A16. The funnel is a bit too wide and the ‘short side’ of the wedge hits the king pin before the wedge shoulders make contact with the hitch funnel.
