    Class 3 Square Concealed Front Trailer Hitch with 2" Receiver Opening (31090) by CURT®. The Weight Carrying Capacity is 5000 lbs, while the Tongue Weight is 500 lbs, and the Receiver Tube Opening Size is 2". If you want to use the front end of your vehicle for various towing applications, this front mount trailer hitch is the way to go. It can be used for mounting a winch, snow plow, cargo carrier and various hitch-mounted accessories.     CURT® - Class 3 Trailer Hitch 2" with Receiver Opening Installation Instructions

    CURT front mount trailer hitches are used for attaching a winch, snow plow or various hitch-mounted accessories and can even be used for some towing applications. When space is limited, you can use a front hitch to hold a cargo carrier, freeing up space inside the vehicle for extra cargo and making the rear mount receiver available to pull a trailer. Placed in the front of the vehicle, the hitch provides a useful receiver tube to accept a 2" x 2" shank. CURT front mount hitches are constructed from robotically welded steel and put through rigorous testing to ensure reliable, trouble-free performance. Plus, they are co-cured with a liquid Bonderite® coating and a high-gloss black powder coat for rust, chip and UV resistance.

    Smooth Install
    Prefect fit, did it by myself with a floor jack took about an hour. Just needed to file the edge of the bolt head to fit into the oblong frame opening.

    Great Hitch - Def Recommend
    I purchased this for my 2001 Chevy silverado. I was able to install alongside my grille guard without any issues. Instructions were easy to follow and bolting this down was tedious but with power tools and a warm environment, can be done quickly. I however, did this in the cold with a ratchet, took about 45 minute’s because I was working around my guard. Fitment was perfect and have had no issues thus far. Been installed since December and all the bolts are still secure. I’ve used the hitch so far to do minor moves with small trailers and with a hitch winch. Def recommend if you’re looking to add a front hitch to your vehicle. Hope this helps someone in the future.

    Product looks great (same as all Curt products). Installation instructions were accurate and easy to follow. I would recommend this product if you want a front 2 inch hitch for your HR. I have not used it yet but have no reservations about the Curt quality (lifetime warranty).

    Question:
    Does installing this front hitch eliminate the ability to have the OEM front tow hooks? I see in the instructions to remove them during installation but no instructions about reinstalling them. 2019 Ram 1500 Limited.

    Hello, use of this front hitch disables the use of tow hooks. They cannot be reinstalled
