While the overall design and durability mirrors Dee Zee’s Blue Label commercial grade Crossover box, the HARDware series version is built to offer value for the customer that needs a lockable box without the greater cost of heavy-duty aluminum construction. With easy-to-use release handles on either side, the HARDware Series Steel tool box series mirrors Dee Zee’s Blue Label commercial grade aluminum version, but substitutes 20-gauge traditional steel to offer value for the customer that needs a lockable box without the greater cost of heavy-duty aluminum construction. HARDware Series boxes are available in a choice of designs and sizes to suit all your truckbed related storage needs including single-lid “top hat” boxes, side-mount boxes, double-lid boxes, and larger tool chests for those that need the most room.

HARDware series boxes are priced for value, but include many Dee Zee premium features such as an integrated single hinge that eliminates the headache of folding hinges that bind when a lid is pulled from one side. To resist corrosion, traditional mild steel surfaces are protected with a durable layer of powder coat to enhance style while also preventing scratches, chips, and tarnishing. Limited Lifetime Warranty against manufacturer defects in materials, workmanship, and design under normal use, excluding damage resulting from road hazards such as gravel or other debris, product misuse, improper installation, impairments from accidents, product modifications, improper repairs, spills, vandalism, product neglect, or acts of God. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser of new product(s) and is limited to the replacement of genuine Dee Zee products. Modification of any kind to Dee Zee products voids all warranty coverage. Warranty Coverage – Component Parts

Operational items such as shocks, latches, keys, hinges, and wear items including, but not limited to, mud flaps, step pads, end caps, hardware, seals, etc. have a 1-Year Warranty. This warranty applies only to new products and is limited to the repair or replacement of genuine Dee Zee products. Warranty does not include electrical components, light bulb replacement, and cost of removal, installation, labor, transportation costs, and loss of use, inconvenience or consequential damages.

Warranty Coverage – Finish Protection

The finish of all Dee Zee products is covered for 1 year from the date of purchase. Dee Zee products have a high-quality finish that must be cared for and maintained like any other exposed finish on the vehicle. Protect the finish with non-abrasive automotive wax (e.g. Pure Carnauba) on a regular basis. Applying soaps, polishes, or waxes that contain an abrasive compound may scratch the finish and leave the exposed material susceptible to corrosion.

Warranty Submission Procedure

All warranty claims will be initiated at the place of purchase. The original purchaser will be required to present the original sales receipt with purchase date shown and provide photographs of the defect.

In the event the originally purchased product style is no longer available, Dee Zee will warranty the defective part with a current equivalent.

Finally Found a Quality Mid-Size Box

Product (in black) looks great as it blends into my mid size truck. My spare tire fits underneath. The fit was perfect for a midsize truck and the thickness of the utility box is much thicker than I expected. The whole top will lift open from either side with ease as it includes two lifting rams. Last but not least, the price is 200 less than brand names. Thanks.

Flimsy

Flimsy built. Don't put anything on the lid of it will bend. The lid is so flimsy. I have to got to the other side and push it closed. Never again.

It's a Good Box

I've had this box for 2 years now, it is still working as intended. On hot sunny days don't leave the lid open because it will deform. Good news is that it usually goes back with no effort provided that it's still sunny. Due to me leaving it open on several occasions I had to file the latches to make a smoother ramp for the lock to keep functioning. No one has tried breaking into it yet, but if they do at least your not out a grand from them prying your nice aluminum box. For the price it does the job, it would be 5 stars if it had some reinforcement on the lid to prevent it from deforming.

Interferance Fit

This was not a good choice for my application. It wastes too much space in the bed. There is too much space between the box and the bed wall when mounted.

Dee Zee Side Box

I bought one almost a year ago and love it. I bought a higher priced one from Cabela's for the other side of my bed and because it was on sale about 4 months, but it sucks and leaks, looks like better quality but Dee Zee is better and cheaper, will be buying another one to replace the one from Cabela's .

Good for the Price.

It is as advertised. Tough plastic design. Small (as in narrow) but good storage for tools & emergency kit items. Easy to install; I was able to DIY in about 90 minutes. I did have issues with the lock, but was able to resolve that by forcing lock latch a nth of an inch beyond the "locked" position. Good product. I would recommend it. Sandi
