    The Specialty Series Black Diamond-Tread Narrow Single Lid Crossover Tool Box has been created with a wealth of quality Dee Zee tool box features in a narrower size for those who want or need a lockable, long-lasting tool box that takes up a minimum of bed space. Like all Dee Zee boxes, it eliminates the headache of hinges that bind when lids are pulled from one side. Instead of two separate hinges, an integrated one spans the entire width of the lid. Not only does it allow the lid to open evenly, a gas strut allows it to glide up with dampened, jewel-like smoothness. So when you want the lid open, it stays open without falling on your fingers. And when you want it shut, it stays shut without rattling because a high-quality rubber gasket maintains a tight seal that prevents moisture and dust from creeping in.

    Flimsy
    Flimsy built. Don't put anything on the lid of it will bend. The lid is so flimsy. I have to got to the other side and push it closed. Never again.

    The installation was really simple. The price isn't a good as the product was worth. It was scratched and had dents in it.

    It's a Good Box
    I've had this box for 2 years now, it is still working as intended. On hot sunny days don't leave the lid open because it will deform. Good news is that it usually goes back with no effort provided that it's still sunny. Due to me leaving it open on several occasions I had to file the latches to make a smoother ramp for the lock to keep functioning. No one has tried breaking into it yet, but if they do at least your not out a grand from them prying your nice aluminum box. For the price it does the job, it would be 5 stars if it had some reinforcement on the lid to prevent it from deforming.

    Interferance Fit
    This was not a good choice for my application. It wastes too much space in the bed. There is too much space between the box and the bed wall when mounted.

    Dee Zee Side Box
    I bought one almost a year ago and love it. I bought a higher priced one from Cabela's for the other side of my bed and because it was on sale about 4 months, but it sucks and leaks, looks like better quality but Dee Zee is better and cheaper, will be buying another one to replace the one from Cabela's .

    Good for the Price.
    It is as advertised. Tough plastic design. Small (as in narrow) but good storage for tools & emergency kit items. Easy to install; I was able to DIY in about 90 minutes. I did have issues with the lock, but was able to resolve that by forcing lock latch a nth of an inch beyond the "locked" position. Good product. I would recommend it. Sandi
