Product Details

Universal 39.8" Flexible Series RGBW LED Strip (DD2252) by Diode Dynamics®. 1 Piece. 9-16V DC. This product is not just RGB, it is RGBW! That means there is an extra integrated LED chip that is specifically white in color, right next to the standard red, green, and blue LEDs. By using an RGBW controller, you can activate and control the white chip independently of the colors. This provides a much more uniform, pure, and bright white color than the traditional method of combining all RGB signals.

Cut to size. These LED strips are flexible, IP67 weatherproof SMD-type LED strips, with 3 SMDs per 5 cm. They are cuttable every 3 chips, to size to your need, and come with 3M adhesive backing. Due to the weatherproofing, cut portions cannot be reattached without manual soldering, which removes the weatherproofing properties. Weatherproofing can be reapplied through waterproofing products. Installation. All RGB multicolor strips have standard RGB wiring attached, to be connected to any RGB controller (not included). They recommend the use of Diode Dynamics standard DC wall adapters, along with splitters as needed, which will plug directly into an RGB controller. Experience. Really Bright
I bought this product thinking that it's probably not going to be too bright, but I just wanted something to light up the engine bay a little more, but it turned out to be really good. I didn't use the adapters that came with it, but you could put it on a switch if you wanted to or make it, so it comes on with your factory light. If you're going to use a switch you definitely going to need more wire because it only came with about 5 feet of wire, but it's enough to reach the factory light assembly.
