On certain Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram vehicles, when a transmission pan is leaking or in need of routine service, loosening and lowering that fluid-filled pan is a messy business. This Dorman OE FIX transmission oil pan is designed to match the fit and function of the original equipment pan but is manufactured with a handy drain plug to allow the trans fluid to be removed before service. This pan also features our convenient 265-850F replaceable filter design and filter kit that is engineered specifically for use with this product and includes a new filter, gasket and screws.     All tho I have yet to install this transmission pan, it looks good and I can't wait until it's installed.

    Dorman® 265-817 - Automatic Transmission Oil Pan
    The pan looks a lot better than the rusty old pan I took off my transmission. It has the added bonus of a drain plug. The fit was perfect. It was not worth the time to refinish my old transmission pan when I was able to buy this new pan. Thanks, Dorman.

    Dran Plug Problem
    I had to order two of these. The fist one had a bad thread and when I removed the plug it was so frozen that when I use enough torq to remove the plug it also separated the nut from the pan where that nut was welded to the inside of the pan. Maybe a fluke. Maybe not. This device is well made otherwise.
