Product Details

OE Solutions™ Rear Lower Rearward Non-Adjustable Trailing Arm by Dorman®. Quantity: 1 per Pack. If you are searching for a quality control arm, this product is the way to go. Featuring a sturdy construction and quality tested for trouble-free performance, the control arm ensures a smooth ride, directional stability, and agile handling.

Control arms are the part of the suspension system, with the help of springs and shock absorbers, ensure that bumps and other road obstacles are absorbed rather than being passed on to the frame of the vehicle and its passengers. The control arm is designed to move up and down when the car encounters potholes, speed bumps, etc., while still maintaining a straight, perpendicular relation to the road. Hard usage and even a minor encounter with a curb or deep pothole can bend, crack, or otherwise damage a control arm, causing poor handling and inaccurate wheel alignment that can result in uneven tire wear.

If you need a solid control arm, Dorman offers you the product that is a direct replacement for the factory part but costs less. The Dorman control arm will look, function, and install exactly the same as the original. Rigorously tested for reliable and long-lasting performance by a team of experienced engineers, the product provides a smooth ride, directional stability, and agile handling. The control arm features a steel, aluminum, or iron construction for exceptional durability and is powder-coated or painted for maximum rust and corrosion resistance. The unit comes with ball joints and bushings where applicable.

Control Arm Right after Delivery
This product appears to be of good quality and contruction and value. However Product description says steel control arm, the control arm is aluminum with a steel ball joint taper and steel rear bushing tang bolted to the aluminum. Minor casting surface defects are present and minor tool marks either from manufacturing or from shipping and handling that do not appear structural There are no inclusions in the milled areas

Dorman Control Arms
I bought these to correct the camber of the back wheels on an 06 Honda Element. Love the car. Actually bought a second one at a good price. Planning to put the Dorman control arms on it as well. Great product. The alignment garage said they worked well for getting their work right. $60 in control arms will save hundreds in badly wearing tires. That's good value!

CARiD Answer:
Hi, the part you have linked to will not fit your car. We found the Dorman part that will fit Explorers built before March 4. You can find that part at this link: https://www.carid.com/dorman/rear-passenger-side-non-adjustable-trailing-arm-mpn-523-009.html?singleid=16723561
