Product Details

Front Trailer Hitches by Draw-Tite®. Add a hitch receiver to the front of your truck. The receiver is handy for all sorts of accessories, from steps to winches to license plates and more.

Adding a standard 2" hitch receiver to the front of your truck isn’t as wacky an idea as it might seem. Putting a hitch ball on the front and actually hooking up a trailer might seem like insanity, but if you spend much time spotting trailers into parking spaces or launching boats at the marina, a hitch up there makes sense. It allows you to back the trailer up into a tight spot without straining your neck, or relying on a spotter. There are plenty of other things to mount to a front hitch: one favorite is a fold-down step, which can make checking the oil on a lifted truck possible by people who don’t have NBA contracts. If you have occasional need of a winch, but don’t want to carry around all that weight full-time, get a winch carrier that fits a 2" receiver, and leave the winch home most of the time. Another possible option for a front-mounted receiver would be a bike rack or cargo carrier. The possibilities are endless.

Needed Some Modifying But Works.
The product overall is a decent hitch setup. Not heavy duty but still can get the job done. I have to modify it to fit my 97 Ford F-150 4x4 but it still works as it should. The shipping was not the best it arrived with many holes in the box but fortunately nothing missing. I like the paint used to protect it, nice thick coat. Good price and pretty decent setup.

Nice Addition
Go to YouTube and watch the video for installing this piece. Definitely want two people for installation. It fit perfectly on my 2015 Ram 2500 4x4. Installation is tricky. Hard to get to some of the bolts. It took about an hour for my son and I to get it in place and all the nuts on. Several nuts you cannot reach with your hand and will need to use a box end wrench with electrical or duct tape to hold the nut in place to get it started. Looks good once you get it on!

Happy with My Purchase
Even though the box that the hitch came in was not damaged, the hitch was still scratched and chipped. Nothing that spray paint couldn't fix. New hitch should look new.
