Features

  • Chamfered and Slotted (where applicable) to reduce noise when braking
  • Scorched to remove uncured bonding agents, minimizing the need for initial break-in period and increasing stopping power from the initial stop
  • Positive mold to promote consistent friction material density
  • Frequent braking environments, high speed, heavy traffic, steep gradients, towing, or off-roading
  • Delivers strong, predictable friction level regardless of temperature, speed, or axle load
  • Engineered to withstand extremely high operating temperature range
  • Long pad wear, low noise, and low dust
  • 100% Asbestos free
  • 100% Copper Free Eco Friendly Formulation [California/Washington 2025 Compliant-Leaf Mark N]
  • Promotes better friction to plate adhesion, minimizing noise
  • Acts as a thermal barrier by minimizing the heat transfer from the pad into the caliper, reducing the possibility of fluid boil

Product Details

Heavy Duty Semi-Metallic Disc Brake Pads by DFC®. Designed for heavier vehicles with larger brake systems, DFC Heavy-Duty Brake Pads deliver exceptional braking performance in harsh conditions. DFC Heavy-Duty brake pads are exclusively engineered and formulated to withstand extreme heat, heavy duty operation, frequent stopping, or towing.

All DFC Heavy-Duty Brake Pads comes with an advanced Patented Hooked Backing Plate Technology that mechanically bonds the friction material to the backing plates. This reduces the chance of pad edge lifting and pad delamination that can lead to noise, vibration, rust-jacking and pad break down. After the compound is pressed onto the backing plate, each DFC Brake Pad is 100% post cured to ensure stable friction performance. Each pad is then scorched to remove uncured bonding agents to minimize the need for initial break-in period and increase stopping power from the initial stop. Lastly, the pads assembled with DFC Premium Rubber-Steel-Rubber shims for improved NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) characteristics.

Get Them While You Can
DFC are on the ball. These Outlander Sport front pads are Korea sourced. The friction looks thoroughly mixed and cured post molding. The rears for this vehicle are a different mix with graphite chunks but also impressive manufacturing.

I Don't Use Any Other Pad For Track Days!
Having tested OEM, Powerstop Track Day vs these DFC AP pads on a track, I can attest that they work as well or better than the others. Minimal fade (fade being typical of poor trail-braking technique), little rotor wear, and consistent braking distance all make this a very good performance brake pad. Are they true "racing" pads? No, but how good of a driver must you be to really notice the difference? Face it: Most of us aren't good enough track drivers to justify the expense of $200+ racing pads. FYI: I have 6 sets of these sitting on my shelf (since they last about one track weekend). And I wouldn't stock these if I hadn't found them to be excellent pads.
