The company was founded in Chicago in 1909, and 100-plus years of dedication to quality make Edelmann well-known and trusted worldwide. Edelmann's manufacturing experience started with production of anti-freeze testers, automotive brass fittings, and general products in the early 20th century. In 1960, the company began production of the power steering hose. A decade later, the Edelmann family added the Plews division and a new line of lubrication products including funnels, measures, grease guns, etc. E. Edelmann & Co. company was officially renamed Plews/Edelmann in 1995.
