The Insight Edge CTS back-up camera is a must have for safety-conscious drivers and those that tow any kind of trailers. Because it’s almost impossible to see out of the back of many vans, sport utilities, and pickup trucks with caps on the rear, why not give yourself the gift of sight where you need it most. If you’ve ever had a difficult time backing up to align a trailer hitch and tongue, a reverse camera will make that process a cinch. Then when you’re on the road, a quick touch of the screen will let you keep an eye on the coupling and wiring for peace of mind everything is remaining secure. For trucks or vans that are lifted or just have low visibility in front, the Edge camera can also be mounted on the front license plate to ensure your forward path is clear. The camera comes with cable that runs directly to the back of the CTS video input jack, and all parts and instructions necessary to install. When the Insight CTS picks up a signal that the gear selector is in reverse (on vehicles with electronically controlled automatic transmissions that track gear position), the camera display will kick on automatically. It can also be manually turned on and off at any time.
