Product Details

Coolant Bypass by Fleece Performance Engineering®. For 2003-2007 Manual Transmission w/ Stainless Steel Braided Line. The rear cylinders on the 5.9L Cummins suffer from a lack of coolant flow, and therefore, experience the highest coolant temperatures. This can cause excessive pressure to build in the cooling system, especially the rear of the block and blow out freeze plugs externally, or the smaller diameter plugs under the valve cover, leading to a failure. Our coolant bypass kit adds a secondary thermostat, that unlike other brands, works based on temperature instead of excessive pressure. This solves the problem before pressure becomes an issue by ensuring consistent temperatures across all six cylinders. 1 Year Limited Parts Warranty.

Why do I need a Fleece Performance Coolant Bypass?

One of the biggest issues on the 5.9L Cummins is the coolant flow problem to the rear cylinders. This can cause catastrophic failure or blow outs of the freeze plugs in an over-temperature / over-pressure condition. The Fleece Performance Coolant Bypass is one of the most important additions you make to improve the reliability and longevity of the Cummins platform.

Warranty

Fleece Performance Engineering will provide for repairs or replacement, at its option, during the warranty period of each new product model listed below in accordance with the following terms, conditions, and limitations. This warranty applies to the new models set forth below and is provided to the original owner(s) of the product during the warranty period. The warranty covers repairs or replacement, at Fleece Performance Engineering’s option, to correct any malfunction resulting from defects in materials or workmanship during the warranty period. Repairs or replacements will be performed using the method Fleece Performance Engineering determines most appropriate under the circumstances. The warranty period for all coverages shall begin on the date of purchase by the final end user.

LIMITED WARRANTY EXLUSIONS:

Defects and damage caused by failure to follow the recommendations of the maintenance schedule intervals applicable to the product are not covered under this warranty
Normal maintenance and wear components are the owner’s responsibility and is not covered under this warranty
Defects and damage caused by a service outlet that is not an Authorized Fleece Performance Engineering Dealer or service outlet are not covered under this warranty
Defects and damage caused by the use of parts that are not genuine Fleece Performance Engineering parts are not covered under this warranty
Defects and damage caused as the result of any of the following are not covered (Acts of God including, but not limited to: flood, fire, theft, freezing, vandalism, riot, explosion, and anything other than defects in material or workmanship of Fleece Performance Engineering products)
Economic loss and extra expenses are not covered. Examples include but are not limited to: towing, inconvenience, storage, shipping, lost time, or travel
Labor and/or installation expenses associated with a repair are not covered under this warranty

Turbochargers carry a nontransferable, parts only replacement warranty. The warranty does not apply to any turbo that has been improperly stored or installed. This warranty does not apply to misapplication, improper operating conditions, accidents, or neglect. This warranty shall not apply to a turbo that has been improperly repaired, maintained and/or altered by the owner or his technician. Damage due to plugged oil return lines, thrust bushing/bearing damage due to excessive turbo speed, and/or insufficient/improper oil supply is not covered under this warranty. This warranty does not cover a failure resulting from foreign objects (debris). However, in the event of a failure, Fleece Performance Engineering will inspect the turbo for damage and charge the consumer only for the cost of replacement parts required to repair the turbo assembly.

* Beginning with units manufactured on or after 11/19/2018 and S/N 35-25744. All turbos with an earlier date of manufacture or earlier serial number are covered under the original Limited Warranty of 12 Months, Unlimited Mileage.
