American Thunder is the most popular of the Flowmaster exhaust systems, enhancing power, torque, throttle response and mileage for automobile enthusiasts all over the world.

All Flowmaster exhaust systems give the same improvement of performance. All Flowmaster exhaust systems produce a beautiful deep performance tone. Choosing between the five different exhaust systems is not a technical decision – it is all up to your personal taste. It’s A Sound Decision™. The racing origin is evident in every Flowmaster exhaust system. All the five series of systems are tuned for maximum performance. They differ in technology and tuning, and thus in tone and character, giving you a performance engine sound to your personal liking.

Warranty

Lifetime Limited Warranty applies to Flowmaster stainless steel mufflers, stainless steel exhaust systems, stainless steel pipes, air intake kits and oiled type filters (except cleaning kits) and other stainless steel exhaust accessories (except exhaust tips).

Three (3) Year Limited Warranty applies to Flowmaster aluminized steel mufflers, aluminized steel exhaust systems, aluminized steel pipes, exhaust tips and other non-race exhaust accessories.

Two (2) Year Limited Warranty applies to Delta Force Dry air intake filter elements.

One (1) Year Limited Warranty applies to Elite Series exhaust headers and electronic components such as Delta Boost modules. Flowmaster, Inc. (“Flowmaster”) extends the following limited warranty to the original purchaser of its mufflers, exhaust systems, pipes, exhaust tips, headers and other non-race accessories (hereafter “products”), excluding catalytic converters sold under the Flowmaster® brand.

This catalytic converter is warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship subject to the exclusion and conditions set forth below and subject to the durational limits in this paragraph.

EPA Catalytic Converter Warranty: The stainless steel body and the nipples alone are warranted for 5 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. At the conclusion of the 5 year/50,000 mile or 25,000 mile period, whichever is applicable, all liability under this limited warranty shall terminate.

CARB Catalytic Converter Warranty: This catalytic converter has been designed and manufactured and is warranted to meet California Air Resources Board emission requirements for 50,000 miles. The stainless steel body and the nipples alone are warranted for 5 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first. At the conclusion of the 5 year/50,000 miles on stainless steel body and nipples or 50,000 miles on catalyst substrate, whichever is applicable, all liability under this limited warranty shall terminate.

Flowmaster warrants the products mentioned above against defects in materials and workmanship for the period set forth below, when they are owned by the original purchaser and remain installed on the vehicle on which they were originally installed. This warranty is void if the product was not installed properly on the vehicle, was installed on a vehicle for which it was not designed, or was removed from the vehicle on which it was originally installed and reinstalled on another vehicle. This warranty shall not apply to normal wear, cosmetic issues such as coatings and material discoloration, any product that was installed on a racing vehicle, installed improperly or contrary to Flowmaster instructions, altered, misused, repaired, damaged from an accident, collision, undercarriage road impact or debris, or willful or negligent act.

The warranty set forth herein for Flowmaster® stainless steel mufflers, stainless steel exhaust systems, stainless steel pipes and other stainless steel exhaust accessories (except exhaust tips) extends for a period of the life of the original vehicle the product was installed on. The warranty set forth herein for Flowmaster aluminized steel mufflers, aluminized steel exhaust systems, aluminized steel pipes, all exhaust tips and non-race exhaust accessories and commercial applications of aluminized steel products or stainless steel products extends for a period of three (3) years from the date of original purchase and the original vehicle it was installed on. The warranty set forth herein for Flowmaster exhaust headers extends for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase and the original vehicle it was installed on. Header warranty does not cover damages caused by exhaust insulating wrap, and is void if the product was installed on a new or rebuilt engine during the initial break-in period.

Flowmaster’s liability is expressly limited to the replacement of the product or refund of the purchase price as described herein. In no event shall Flowmaster be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential losses and/or damages, including but not limited to interruption of business or loss of business or loss of profit or damage to related components resulting from the use of or inability to use the product, or any breach of warranty or any defect in the product, even if Flowmaster shall have been advised of the possibility of such potential losses or damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which may vary from state to state.

The warranties set forth herein are exclusive and unless otherwise required by applicable law no other warranties are made by Flowmaster® or are authorized to be made with respect to the product.

OK, but Not Great. Poor Value for the $.

First issue was probably the fault of the carrier, but the system arrived with the box utterly destroyed. Somehow, none of the parts were missing or damaged except for the Flowmaster stickers. Value for the cost seems to be... not great. The hanger rods lack the retaining barb at the end like the stock hangers and instead you're supplied with cheesy push-on retaining washers that will probably rust through the first winter here in the Northeast. The supplied muffler clamps are cheap and flimsy as compared to decent quality ones. The U-bolts are thin and the nuts are only 1/2" hex, not 9/16" and lack the heavy integrated locking washer that the nuts on heavy duty clamps come with. In hindsight, I should have tossed the supplied clamps and bought decent ones to replace them. The biggest issue is that as supplied, the driver's side tailpipe was too short. Assembled using adequate engagement with the muffler outlet, the pipe was touching the differential cover on the rear axle. I had to purchase and insert a 2-1/2" ID X 2-1/2" OD adapter (and some decent clamps) between the muffler outlet and tailpipe in order to space the tailpipe back far enough to prevent the pipe from rubbing through the diff cover and allow the rear axle to be serviced without removing the tailpipe. I expected better fitment from an established company like Flowmaster. On the positive side, the muffler seems to be built very well and the system sounds pretty good. The chrome tips were plated well and look good. The included option of running the exit straight back or out the side was a nice touch. Would I purchase it again, now knowing what I know? Maybe. Would I recommend it to someone without the skill and abilities to correct the deficiencies I found and related above? No.

The Way a Truck Should Sound

Needed to get a new exhaust since the "factory replacement" that a muffler shop put on rusted out in less than 4 years. I've had great success ordering things from TRUCKiD and decided on this Flowmaster system. Install was simple, had to do a little tugging to get the muffler to clear the drive shaft, but that was it. Truck now sounds like a V8 should and I've had a small improvement in mpg as long as I can keep my foot out of it.

Great Value

This went on a 2020 Ram 1500 Bighorn. The instructions were easy to read, and the installation was a breeze. Quality of parts is top notch, and fitment was right in the money. I’m impressed with how well this resonator delete kit woke up my Ram truck. Great sound inside and outside the cabin at low speeds, and it settles down nicely at highway speeds.

American Thunder

I installed this system on my 2019 Chevy Silverado High Country and it was a welcomed upgrade. The sound is not overpowering at start and idle but when accelerated it provides a throaty sound. I recommend this to all Chevy Silverado owners. You will not be disappointed.

Good Enough

Not my first Flowmaster exhaust system, had one added to another vehicle. This one is just as good as the other one. Easy install, sounds great to my ears when driving my truck. Just the right tone inside the cab with windows up or down.
