Product Details

A/C High Side Charging Adapter (5811696) by gpd®. Location: Schrader Service Valve. The electrical switch is designed to give feedback to the engine management system. The ECM controls the A/C system on modern vehicles. In earlier vehicles, they are used to directly turn the compressor off to avoid compressor failure.

Warranty

All gpd products are warranted to free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year. gpd’s liability is limited to the replacement of any part found to be defective according to the manufacturer's standard. Claims for labor and indirect or consequential damage or loss will not be covered by gpd.

Warranty will not be given for product that has been altered, damaged in transit, mishandled, misused or abused. Examples of products that will be denied warranty:

Compressors that have failed due to "black death" contamination.
Heater cores and radiators that have failed due to electrolysis.
Compressors and/or compressor clutches that have failed due to excessive head pressures.

E.g.: The most common failures are scroll compressors where the condenser has not been replaced.

Expansion Valve o-Rings

These expansion valve o-rings are perfect for my 2016 Promaster City. I lubed them with some PAG oil and they seal nicely. If you are going to change the expansion valve, you would be doing yourself a favor to change the o-rings also. A great buy, thanks!
