Talon® LTS Drilled and Slotted Front Brake Kit with Light Truck SUV Pads by Hawk®. These replacement brake pads upgrade the stopping power of your pickup or SUV. While these pads are made from Ferro-Carbon developed for racetrack applications, their formulation has been modified to provide a more progressive feel when large off-road tires or towing needs put higher weight demands on braking systems. These pads are designed to the precise tolerances of factory parts for proper fit and operation. Limited lifetime warranty. Hawk® - Brake Pads InstructionsIf you have felt underwhelmed by the stopping ability of your sport utility or pickup truck during every day driving, towing, or off-roading, Light Truck and SUV Brake Pads will give your brake system the boost it needs. Unlike factory original pads, these pads are constructed from a specially developed Ferro-carbon metallic compound that yields higher friction and much more grip against brake rotors. For heavier pickup trucks and sport utility vehicles, Light Truck and SUV Brake Pads give you longer pad life, low noise, and reduced brake dust. Instead of neck-breaking autobahn grip, these pads are formulated for the unique needs of heavier trucks and sport utilities that venture off-road.
If you have mounted large tires and wheels on your truck, you've added a great deal of rotational mass that brake systems must work harder to overcome. Hawk Light Truck and SUV Brake Pads have been specifically blended with this application in mind to provide grip that is ideal for heavy 4x4s, ensuring the extra gripping ability does not come at the expense of control. And if you take your vehicle off-roading, you understand finesse and gradual brake application can be a lifesaver on steep hill descents. These brakes give you the holding power you need without the wheel lockup that brings big trouble over uneven surfaces.
As grippy as ferro-carbon pads are, one set of rotors can easily last through two sets of these specially blended pads. If you install them without replacing rotors, pre-chamfered pad edges will mate well against grooves and lips that have already formed as rotor surfaces wear. Instead of the pad squealing as it rubs along the lip edges, it will quietly and evenly press against the part of the rotor where it will have the most effect. While the many advantages of upgraded truck brake pads typically come at a higher cost, we offer you the superior all-around performance of these parts with value-priced >brake parts from Hawk.
