Installation
Husky's 16K Roller provides all the basic roller functions to equip short bed trucks for towing fifth wheel trailers weighing up to 16,000 Pounds. Husky's economical roller provides needed truck-to-trailer clearance for low speed maneuvers. Installs with just four pins and clips. The Husky Roller's lift adjustment lets you minimize the distance between the wheels and the rails for smooth operation.
The Husky 10 to 16 Glider is Husky's premium solution for towing fifth wheel trailers weighing up to 16,000 Pounds with short bed pickups. Today's lighter fifth wheel trailers, combined with improved towing capacities of most new pickup models, means RV enthusiasts have more truck and trailer combination options than ever before. One of the big advantages of a short bed truck is a shorter wheel base compared to trucks with 8 Foot beds. A shorter wheel base means improved turning radius and greater maneuverability both around town and in the campground. But the shorter wheel base also creates a potential clearance problem, which is solved with the Husky 10 to 16 Glider. Since the rear axle of the short bed truck is located closer to the truck cab, fifth wheel trailer kingpins can be uncomfortably close to the truck cab when making tight turns such as backing into your favorite camping spot.
